What do you want to see from Itauma against Franklin?

    For me it goes:

    ATG
    Champion
    Contender
    Gatekeepers (Franklin)
    Journeyman
    Part-timer

Maybe another category for prospects as we don't know their level fully.

I feel Franklin is a bit better than what you would find as a journeyman who would be Dave Allen or Demsey McKean for example, but still in my eyes Franklin is a weak gatekeeper.

Competitive fight against Whyte and took AJ the distance. I think Gatekeeper, while a tad generous, isn't reaching too much.

He survived those fights, offered token resistance but lost both clearly.

For me, to be a gatekeeper entails keeping journeymen away from the top table - being able to survive against contenders is great, but unless you've fought and beaten guys who were at minimum starting to look like they were going somewhere...Franklin has been too much an irrelevance to meet the mark for me.

I'll happily admit I'm more selective about where those boundaries are than most, though.

    Remember your post............

I'm not sure he's even more than a future journeyman tbh, I don't even believe a gatekeeper, he might be the next Purity, Wilson, Guinn etc..... I think he gives him all the rounds his team wants.

To be the first man to beat Franklin inside the distance.

He’s gone backwards with this fight, Whyte defeated Franklin while massively past his best, Itauma is gonna stagnate and potentially get worse if he doesn’t step up.

So, what do you say how many rounds Franklin will last?

I’d say Franklin is a weak gatekeeper so I could have been more specific there. Dave Allen is a good journeyman at best.

    Fringe contender - Kabayel
    Strong gatekeeper - Hrgovic/Zhang/Chisora
    Mid gatekeeper - Ajagba/Bakole
    Weak gatekeeper- Franklin/Vianello
    Good journeyman- Allen/McKean

Many people thought he beat Whyte

That was a pretty close fight

Regardless, Itauma and the Warrens ducked Frank Sanchez. Sanchez would've been a great measuring test to reveal what level he's really at.

Proof that Itaumas is not the hype job he looks like...

Franklin might survive all the rounds, but he doesn't have the power to threaten Itauma in any way, I think that Franklin will just want to survive...

He's not getting stopped. He's gonna lose a lopsided decision.
