Paul couldn't beat Tommy Fury. Let's be realistic

And Herndon couldn't beat Shamarian Snider. Similar levels.

Both guys are pretty shot at this point but Chisora has been more active, winning more than he has lost and despite writing him off a few years ago he beat Pulev and Joyce while losing in respectable fashion to Parker and Usyk

I think if Wilder fights a very smart fight behind his jab and uses the right hand straight and not wild or looping he has a shot here. I actually find Chisora to be the slight favorite here

Whyte should have joined PBC if he wanted the Wilder fight so badly.

Whyte was being used as Joshua's bodyguard by Hearn, while Matchroom sought to age/wear Wilder out for Joshua, or get him beaten so Joshua didn't have to fight him.

The boxing politics are such that this wasn't a straightforward situation.

A few people wanted wilder to fight Whyte, and being part of the “who needs him
Club”, a few didn’t and wilder chose to fight some other top 5 guys, ones who have been there a while too.

Of course people wanted Wilder to fight AJ more than Whyte and if he fought AJ, nobody would care about Dillian, but the problem is, he never faced any of his biggest threats.

It was - Whyte was the number 1 contender from 2017 and because of the PBC/WBC shannanigans didn't get the title shot he deserved.

Yes we probably have differing views on a lot of things, but I appreciate that and your perspective. It’s obvious wilder isn’t your fave guy and I do like that you can explain that from your perspective regardless of me having a different view.

Off top of my head I would rate stiverne, Ortiz wins as better and fury a better defence.
2 of these he chose to fight instead of Whyte, so I can’t call picking harder fights as a duck of a guy who isn’t really important in the grand scheme.

That’s my opinion and of course you are free to disagree with it.

Eh. Only AJ he didn’t fight, and likewise AJ didn’t fight him.

Whyte was irrelevant as wilder was fighting the gypsy king. (Who played with Whyte)

peak whyte was a threat to Chisora and very old povetkin, and that’s his level.

Whyte was claiming he was mandatory when he wasn’t. He talks a lot of shite, as was proven when Tyson shut him
    Up for good.

Doesn't change the fact that Wilder ducked him with the help of WBC.

Whyte was very relevant - he was a Top 5 contender and had the number 1 ranking WBC. Fury fought him 2 years after Wilder lost the title so it's irrelvant. Whyte would have been Wilder's best win.

No, that would be the undefeated Tyson Fury. Which is why Wilder fought Fury three times, and defended his title against him twice. And Wilder would have two wins over Fury (instead of a draw) if not for Fury getting 20 seconds to recover in fight one ... and God knows how many seconds to recover in fight three when even the announcers were like "that was a REALLY long count."

And the undefeated Luis Ortiz would've been his best win, which is why Wilder fought him TWICE. And Ortiz was highly ranked both times.

Remember, those undefeated fighters were better than the already beaten, and already knocked out Dillian Whyte.

Which is why Wilder fought them FIVE TIMES.

Hell, Dominic Breazeale and Tyson Fury (in their rematch) were BOTH WBC mandatories for Wilder.

Whyte ducked a final eliminator with Breazeale. Remember that? Of course not.

Whyte ducked a final eliminator with Luis Ortiz. Remember that? Of course not.

Whyte thought just winning the WBC Silver belt against Helenius was good enough. Every time the WBC told him he had to fight a final eliminator, he backed out and let the guy he was supposed to fight meet Wilder instead.

Wilder ended up knocking out Breazeale in one, knocking out Ortiz twice (dropping him four times in two fights), and flooring Fury four times. Even knocked out Helenius in one.

But God forbid Dillian Whyte fight in an eliminator.

Whyte ended up getting his title shot, failed miserably, and complained he got pushed down ... and people are still in his corner.

If Whyte was so great, why didn't he sign to fight and knock out Breazeale in their final eliminator? Why didn't he sign to fight and knock out Luis Ortiz in their final eliminator? Why didn't he knock out Fury?

I never saw a guy duck so many final eliminators and still claim he was ducked. And so many fans bought it at the time. And, apparently, still do.

This is all ANCIENT HISTORY. Get over it.

The only guy who was "ducked" in that era was LUIS ORTIZ. Luis Ortiz was a top heavyweight contender as long or even longer than Dillian Whyte was.

Other than Wilder, no top guy would fight him when he was in his prime and unbeaten (except Andy Ruiz ... and Ruiz waited until Ortiz was 43 years old) and Ruiz still barely won.

Everyone talks about all the guys Whyte fought, but none of those guys, or Whyte, fought Luis Ortiz. Even, in Whyte's case, when ordered by the WBC to do so.

Whyte could have joined PBC and got the Wilder fight. He also could have fought Joshua again, but priced himself out. He had no one to blame but himself.

Prior to 2018, Wilder's competition was weak, and they were not keen on fighting Wlad. But he fought Fury x3 and Ortiz x2 in his six fights from 2018-2021, with Fury being the No.1 ranked HW in fights 2 and 3. He would have fought Joshua if not for boxing politics, and that absolutely includes Hearn/Joshua's risk-reward calculations.

Breazele was made mandatory even without the final eliminator - Whyte didn't have that privilage. As I said, WBC/PBC shenanigans. Then Wilder fought Ortiz in another voluntary - there was no reason to give it to him, Whyte deserved the opportunity more.

Wilder would have fought AJ if he accepted one of the many deals he was proposed with.
