Ok he ducked wobbly long already ko’d Whyte to fight 2 better undefeated fighters and give us the trilogy of the era…if that makes sense to you I dunno what else to say.

choosing to fight someone doesn’t mean you ducked everyone else.

Fighting fury trumps fighting Whyte, so yes it was irrelevant

If your choice is less deserving of the opportunity, and you blantly refusing to fight the more deserving challenger, then yes, it means that you ducked.

He could have fought Whyte before and after Fury ;)

Disagree, because I think that's giving Jake Paul far too much credit considering his career mostly consists of retired MMA fighters half his size.

Fury was coming back after a huge suicidal/depression episode where he bloated to the size of a mammoth. Ortiz was old with suspect gas tank and pace, and he had the style to let Wilder look for the right hand.

Whyte was younger, more active, more aggressive and all that. Doesn't take away from the fact that Ortiz was a good defense, though it nearly ended in a disaster.

Wilder can only fight the mandatory WBC sets to be fair, so a bit harsh to claim he ducked them when (on an individual level) he had no control over the situation.

And this is coming from someone who really wanted to see the fight at the time.

Fury fought three times in 2018. He started the year as the Ring Magazine Champion, he ended the year as the #1 contender RATED ABOVE EVERYONE, just as he was at the start of the year.

Fury was in better shape for Wilder 1 than he was for Usyk twice.

You guys fall into auto pilot regurgitating the same nonsense. Fury began the year as the Ring Champion. Just as he was about to announce his comeback, they stripped him. He fought three times that year. He ended the year as their #1 contender.

I hope you hold AJ and Usyk to the same standard considering their recent choice of opponent then.

I think that's overlooked quite a bit here, which I kinda get when comparing the performance between the 1st and 2nd fight, but Fury 1 came in excellent shape everything considered and was quite elusive.

Breazeale and Whyte were ordered to fight a final mandatory. Whyte backed out.

Luis Ortiz and Whyte were ordered to fight a final mandatory. Whyte backed out.

Fury was made a WBC mandatory before the rematch, based on his draw with Wilder in fight one.

Whyte ducked his mandatory opportunities. Whyte ducked out of every mandatory the WBC told him to make. He esssentially stepped aside while arguing he was being ducked.

And when he finally got a title fight, he was obliterated. He wasn't denied anything.

He whined and complained until he got his way, and the still lost.

Nah, Herndon is just that terrible.

My claim is WBC helped him duck Whyte with all their shenanigans, which is clear when you see how the history unfolded with rankings, eliminators and mandatories called.

AJ never ducked anybody when he held the title. If he doesn't hold the title, let him do what he wants, he doesn't have obligations, especially since he's in the back end of his career., presumebly shot. I critisized Usyk heavy for ducking Wardley and now Kabayel to fight a kickboxer.

No, it's just obvious. I am very good at discernment and you are not on his level. For starters, he is likely much more successful than you and a lot wittier. It's okay, not everyone can be the complete package.

Yeah, Parker exploited the fact Wilder has trouble fighting backing up and can't deal with counters and a tight guard that well. Fury already exposed this in their 2nd fight and how everyone knows how to beat Wilder: smother him and neutralize his power, counter and keep a good guard up.

We'll see if Wilder can make adjustments in the Chisora fight. Del Boy is really good at smothering and applying pressure and had a good chin. The good news for Wilder is Chisora will likely be right in front of him and doesn't have Parker's footwork or fidgety defense.

It is very apparent that you're heavily biased and accepted common anti-wilder myths.

Ortiz was feared and ducked by multiple fighters, including Anthony Joshua.

Povetkin a.k.a Pedvetkin was a 4-time drug cheat who recently had his record scrubbed and is in the boxing Hall of shame. It is very desperate of you to bring up this ancient history as if it's Wilder's fault Povetkin is the real-life Jack Hanma and the successors of other drugs cheats like Lance Armstrong.

Wilder literally did express interest in fighting Wladmir and was quite vocal about it (plenty of articles if you bothered to look it up). it didn't happen because Shelly Finkel didn't think he was ready and Wladmir didn't expect to lose to Fury.

Fury was not a "cherry pick gone wrong", he was a tall, skilled, undefeated lineal champion who had 2 tune ups before the first Wilder fight. If that was a cherry pick, then Joe Frazier cherry picked Muhammad Ali for thr fight of the century. Do you see how stupid that sounds?

Whyte didn't back out of the Breazeale fight. Dominic's camp stalled the negotiations, because they knew Wilder and PBC were actively pushing for Breazeale to become the mandatory after Fury pulled out of the immediate rematch with Wilder. And WBC obliged.

Whyte threatened legal action against WBC in 2018 after they threw the idea of him fighting Ortiz for the final eliminator and they backed off.

Whyte was the number 1 contender and yet both Breazele and Ortiz got title shots (Ortiz twice) before him. Ortiz never won a final eliminator, neither did Breazeale. An eliminator between Breazeale (number 6) and Eric Molina (banned at the time by VADA) originally wasn't supposed to be a final eliminator but it was changed to one when it suited PBC.

Wilder ducked Whyte, was open about it and WBC let him do that.

Wilder fought on the back foot just fine against Stiverne, Duhaupas etc. He just stepped up in competition and was beaten almost every time.
