So in your mind Ali wins by walking through Wlad's punches, forcing him on the back foot, and then knocking him out? Sounds legit

 

Why would he do that when he could just pepper Wlad to a UD or late retirement which is what is mostly likely to happen.
Ali has better stamina, great head movement and reflexes, Wlad doesn’t present any real style problem for him, all he has is size but that’s not going to be enough

 

Something else happened to Peter during Wlad’s actual prime.

 

Ive seen it said before that Wlad’s prime was in his mid to late 30’s, physically it’s impossible but if we say this is where his mental savvy and boxing skills blended with his youth and it was his ‘prime’ then perhaps.
Against a prime Ali I don’t see how it helps him, he’s got even less mobility to deal with Ali who isn’t going to come straight at him like Peter did.
Again Ali just stays away from his big punches and peppers him to a UD. Nobody beats a prime Ali, particularly not a stand up boxer like Wlad, and most definitely not a 35 yr old stand up boxer like Wlad

 

Yet Wlad vs. Haye is the closest thing to this match ever happening.

Yes, similar size and handspeed, probably more power.
