Itauma is the best heavyweight prospect of the last 40 years.. in a way even better than Mike Tyson cause he's less crazy Might be the best heavyweight prospect ever Discuss
Cool story bro, the chin check is true test of a man at heavyweight AJ failed it and was coddled away from punchers Even with a grade A chin you can get put over against the right man at heavyweight, Parker good example. Usyk is a defensive wizz but he's still got a soli grade beard as a last defence. He can be hurt and how he reacts to getting hurt even if he does have a beard matters. Ituama probably turns into a high guard run away type which Usyk used to do before he adapted smartly.
His offense might be the best offense on a prospect ever -- 6'4", 79in reach, that level of speed and power, I don't think overall that's ever been surpassed.
The statement is grossly hyperbolic, but I do agree that he's the goods. I'm not sure if I'd favour anyone over him aside from Usyk right now. Joshua had a similar buzz around 2015. Though Itauma looks much more of a natural athlete and less stiff.
He's not even been hit back yet and has yet to beat a single top 10 Heavyweight. Offensively he looks like a dream but he needs to prove himself first against a real legit top 10 Heavyweight.
At this rate, its possible Moses Itauma could just prove to be a complete hype job, rather than suddenly being declared the 'best prospect ever'.
The people making these threads are the same people that were making Joshua threads a decade ago. This cycle of: UK prospect -> massively overrated -> gets blown out by 20-1 underdog -> has a spotty career afterward -> fans argue that the results don't represent the huge talent -> realists just say they aren't that good when paired with top competition -> fans of that fighter overrated them anyway Will NEVER get old. It's funny every time.
Great. Given the situation doesn't matter shouldn't be fighting for the title for years. Even assuming we knew what you say you do which we don't.
