Good vid, I lean more toward Chisora based on recent form and being more active

I think there is a shot that Chisora slows down or gets tired and gets nailed and Chisora is not that hard to find.

I do think Wilder has slowed as he ages and is less active. He needs the right hand to be a factor but his reflexes and ability to pull the trigger are in question.

For all of the **** Wilder gets he never gives up, he continues to look for his punch and is always well conditioned. I think if he is smart he can try and sit back and box behind the jab and try and let the right hand just come. If he goes out trying to force a KO this could be a very good fight

My official prediction is Wilder by stoppage between rounds 7-9. All that damage Chisora has sustained will catch up to him, though if Wilder was smart he'd sit behind his jab for a UD.

I think Chisora wins. Wilder has always been horrendous at boxing on the back foot, even in his prime, and he is far more finished than Derek. He looked absolutely awful vs Zhang. I expect Chisora to stop him and push him back.

 

Wilder has looked dreadful recently, almost like Whyte did before the Itauma fight - unlike Chisora who looked good against Wallin.

Also, on a stylistic sense Chisora is probably a bad fight for an old and shot to bits Wilder. It seems that Wilder struggles with pressure and despite his power - lacks the physical strength for certain types of HWs.

I think Chisora gets a mid rounds TKO, but it wouldn’t surprise me if Wilder got a KO out of nowhere.

 

I don’t think Wilder is good enough to outbox Chisora.

However, if Wilder tried to do what he does best and that is going out there for the KO. Then it could be interesting.

I am hoping you are right because Wilder having a last good run would legitimize a lot of the last twelve years, and help to lock in not only his legacy, but also Fury's and, indirectly, Usyk's.

But, I think you might be writing with your heart, here.

I guess it will all depend on whether the surgery worked and he can turn back time, mentally and physically.

Wilder has lot his power because his legs and explosiveness are gone with age and wear. That means he's finished.

 

That's broadly my view, too.

In many ways, I'd regard this as Wilder's best win if he can pull it off...
Not because 42 year old Chisora is a better fighter than 38 year old Ortiz (although prime for prime is more debatable than most would admit, IMHO) - but because Wilder doesn't have the same age advantage here that he had against Ortiz, because it's clear how you beat him now AND because his confidence isn't what it was and I think think not having that belief is making it harder for him to process the right opportunity quickly enough to capitalize... That and Chisora stylistically would ALWAYS have been difficult for Wilder and would've gone into his top two best wins - at this point, that's probably amplified.

For all that Wilder has been overrated through his career, he's at least tried to step it up since he lost his belt - and this is a huge challenge at this stage.

Both men deserve respect for taking this one - I think Chisora will get it done, but anything could happen.

 

Not doubt you will pretend you never made that comment if Wilder wins. He'll get no 'respect' from you regardless of the result.

 

Chisora is going to sit on his chest and pound away. Won't give wilder space to extend. But he won't be able to do that for 12 rounds, he'd want to take break, that's when disaster is likely to strike. If Whyte could lay him out cold, then a fully extended wilder will do - subject to wilder being able to pull that trigger - if he thinks he has space he might well be able to. There is also the chance Chisora stops him before he needs that break.

 

Wilder is completely shot. That’s why Chisora is the favorite.

Wilder’s power came from his reflexes, and as he has lost those he has lost his power. Without that, and with diminished punch resistance, he doesn’t have much to offer.

 

Ballsy pick Rummy! I find it hard to look past Wilder as damaged goods now and think that Chisora comes out of the exchanges in better shape, with Wilder reverting to the gunshy guy we saw against Parker and Zhang.

Will be interesting to see how it unfolds, maybe the shoulder op gives Wilder more or as you say Chisora's come forward style plays into Wilders strengths.
