    Cheers Ste
Yes, I can remember the build up and Honeyghan wasn't given much of a chance at all.
It was all about Curry, the next SRL!
One headline said I remember "Curry Will be too hot for Honey 'lol

Holy-Qawi for me. Just immense amounts of everything that makes a great fight.

Hagler vs Mugabi, great fight, I remember the great Reg Gutteridge with Don Curry on commentary for that fight on ITV in the UK, happy days, RIP Reg and Marvin xx

    Hagler-Mugabi
    Holyfield-Qawi
    Tyson-Berbick

Hagler's last stand against an undefeated Beast. Holyfield becoming the first '84 Olympian to win a world title and losing 15 lbs in the process. And Tyson becoming the youngest heavyweight champion in history by scoring the most pleasing knockout one will see.

Great thread. 1986 was a tremendous year in not just boxing but entertainment overall.

    Hagler vs Mugabi was great!
Being a huge Hearns fan, I was thrilled with his 90 second KO of Shuler. It showed that he recovered from his devastating KO loss to Hagler.
I thought the Barkley vs Kinchen fight was interesting.

A summer that would never end. Great music. The 80's was at its peak in 1986. Great year

Here’s another fight from 1986 that was a great war: Sammy Fuentes vs Frankie Warren
