Blokes who literally couldn’t carry his jockstrap were routinely beating him. Tarver was damn lucky he got his arse handed to him by Eric Harding in 2000. If he’d somehow won that a still close to prime Jones would have trounced him. Probably the luckiest loss of this century. It made Tarvers entire career.
What happened in that rematch with Harding? And Jones looked like his old self for a round a half in the rematch with Tarver. Then something happened to him and he never quite looked the same.
