Can Joseph Parker survive 12 rounds with Moses Itauma

THERE IS A PATTERN HERE.

Call out Usyk, duck Sanchez, fight Whyte, call out Pulev, fight Forrest, duck Wardley, call out Hunter, duck Gassiev.

This is NOT hard to figure out, and going in a different direction makes no sense when you have two paths to a heavyweight title being offered to you and you choose to fight a series of journeymen.

 

For a career like Parkers only having two stoppage losses in the 11th round is pretty impressive. He's faced a lot of the big punchers in the division and gone 12 with them like AJ, Wilder and Zhang.

Or are you just being petulant because you don't like him?

 

How exactly did he duck Wardley? Didn't you make a thread the other day claiming that Wardley wanted to duck Itauma?

They are with the same trainer and have both claimed that they won't fight each other unless it's for undisputed or something. It's not a duck either way.

Itauma and his team are probably waiting for the outcome of Dubois vs Wardley. If Dubois wins, I'm fairly certain we'll see Itauma vs Dubois this year.

If he does end up going the WBO route, he can't fight Gassiev for the WBA regular.

 

Whyte is more proven than Sanchez, and no doubt if he fought Sanchez he wouldn't be given credit for that either.

And duck Gassiev? The guy lost to Wallin ffs, he has no business being fed to Itauma and it wouldn't answer any questions. He also can't fight Wardley because he's already tied up with his first title defense. So stop being silly, you're better than that.

I'd wait until his next opponent is actually confirmed before jumping down this rabbit hole in any case.

 

But the current version of Whyte is a walking corpse who got a dodgy 7 round RTD win over Tetteh (LOL!). Franklin was obese and his main aim was to barely survive.

A fit Sanchez would've been a real test, but it seems like his knee is shot.

Let's see what happens when Itauma fights someone who's really hungry to throw bombs and win.

 

Unlike Sanchez Whyte has had some good wins though. Either way, Itauma wasn't getting credit for beating either of them.

 

Whyte is shot and off the PEDs. He looked frail and pitiful coming into that fight. He is proven as a three-time PEDs cheat.

It has nothing to do with who Gassiev lost to--he's WBA regular champ. It's a pathway to the WBA world championship.

Not a matter of confirming his next opponent, its a matter of the extreme rhetoric vs the reality of who he wants.

 

He's mandatory now. He could call the fight. Wardley would have to fight or vacate.

 

I assume Boxing fans would give him credit for beating a fit Sanchez. Stylistically (a fit) Sanchez would pose some problems in terms of speed and technical skills. It would be Itauma's first top 20-15 win too.

 

I'm sorry but a lot of people are overrating Sanchez here, the same way Bakole was vastly overrated.

We've seen Sanchez's glaring weaknesses and has proven to be a gatekeeper at best, what has he proven otherwise?

 

He would be the first top 20-15 win for Itauma. My point is if Itauma beats an Ajagba, Sanchez or Vianello he's at least going somewhere.

 

People said that before both of his last fights too. The problem is he's knocking people out rather effortlessly so people just assume his opponents are no good.

 

Were people really excited to see him vs Franklin? Whyte I can understand since he's a "legend", but it was evident pretty quick Whyte is not even a top 30 guy anymore. Neither Whyte nor Franklin are top 20 fighters.

If he beats an Ajagba, Sanchez or Vianello he's inching closer to being taken seriously for real (excluding the hype from the media now). A Hrgovic win would be even better.

And the Wardley fight isn't happening whilst they both train under the same camp

I voted yes but not because I think Itauma is all hype I just believe Parker can and that he was stopped too early vs Wardley.
