Just curious, are y'all starting to get that SOMETHING is wrong with the Moses Itauma narrative?

Nah. Some of us are just annoyed with people crowning the kid already before he's done anything.

No lie, talksport are already saying he beats Usyk. Do you know how stupid that is? Itauma hasn't even been in the ring with someone that will do something other than stand directly in front of him and eat shots. That's how dog**** his competition has been. Usyk would eat him alive with feints, lateral movement, traps, and a host of other things he's never seen before. And Moses would be blowing out his ass before five rounds were up.

And the rumors swirling around Itauma aren't things people here have made up. Briggs and Miller are the ones that told people in Turkey at that IBA event that Moses had been flatlined in sparring. Moses himself has confessed to having had multiple concussions already. He's the one who showed up to an interview and sounded high as hell and it was so bad IFL had to pull it off of YouTube. These things aren't just wishful thinking from some haters.

 

Wardley is fighting Dubios next month, and will likely pursue Usyk for unification. Do you really expect Itauma to sit on his hands for months or even years waiting? He needs to keep active.

Surely you've been around long enough to know that being a mandatory means diddly squat these days, especially when it comes to facing Usyk. Unfortunately, most of the division is on hold until Usyk starts freeing up more belts.

The guy has also only had 14 fights and is 21 years old, yet you're holding him to a higher standard than you are for Usyk.

Ideally I'd like to see him against the winner of Dubios/Wardley or Chisora/Wilder. All 4 fighters pack a punch and can give him a chin check. Until then, I won't begrudge him a stay busy fight.

 

I don't believe any of these. If Itauma was really that bad, Warren wouldn't invest in him like that. Don't believe sparring stories.

If he fights Hrgovic later in the year, Michael Hunter fight in the summer is just fine. I don’t know why the kid is held to such an insane standards. I mean, Joshua had even even more hype as a prospect (and was older with more experience) and he was fighting Gary Cornish around the same stage.

 

I think he just hates cameras. But you might have a point though. How is he gonna react when all eyes, all the spotlights are on him when he can barely tolerate a simple interview? It’s a question worth asking.

 

Dude, call me crazy, but I'm starting to think that he isn't Moses at all.
