I'd argue Dubios doesn't even deserve the Wardley fight, should just make Fury fight Dubios instead.

 

Not taking into account decline and the very much known factor that Fury's performance levels fluctuate wildly... Sure.

But taking decline and rust? And especially if he doesn't go for 100% in training?
He could easily get knocked down a couple of times by Dubois, and not be dominant enough to overcome that on the cards.

Let's face it, it's not as if he hasn't performed badly against basic and/or limited fighters before.

 

Even taking that into account, Fury hasn't actually lost to anyone who's knocked him down with the exception of Usyk 1. If Usyk couldn't get a hurt Fury out of there, I don't see lumbering stiffs doing it.

At a stage of his career where decline may well be in play... It's certainly possible.

 

He got knocked down by washed up feather fisted cw Steve Cunningham in his prime. Got knocked down by feather fisted bum Nevin Pajkic while in his prime. Heavily rocked by feather fisted bum Nicolai Firtha in his prime. He has never been knocked out due to atg cherry picking skills.

 

Yet he still won all of those fights rather decisively. People put a lot of weight into what are just flash knockdowns.

I know a flash knockdown when I see one though. Fury wasn't actually hurt from any of the ones you listed, and proceeded to win the fights with relative ease.

 

I suggest you watch the Cunningham fight again. He was stumbling around after the knockdown. As for the flask thing, I suck at typing, fixed it well before you responded.

 

He knocked Cunningham out in the 7th round. If he was actually hurt and had such a bad chin what stopped Cunningham from finishing the job?
