Holyfield-Fury is not 50/50. Of course younger Holyfield KOs him. But the old guy that touched up prime Lewis? Don't tell me he couldn't handle the size. Damndest thing, he could throw a left-hook high or low.

Gotta go with Lewis. He beat a Holyfield that actually acted like he cared. I've said it before, if anybody even cares to remember, Joshua and Fury do not do it if you start throwing out GOAT.

    (Vitali definitely smokes Joshua, though)

If I use the word ******ed to describe Dubois on this board it will be deleted.

Again, not taking the bait. You won't count Gassiev, I and others will, and consensus will decide how good Usyk's record is overall. good luck.

It's not bait, it's my stance, which is histories stance. You cast the bait by trying to put Gassiev forward in a thread that specifically speaks about heavyweight wins. That is bait. He's not a heavyweight win. It's not even debatable.

The consensus will be cruiserweight wins are not heavyweight wins. It will be an overwhelming consensus. History has already pre-ordained it. It's all good.

And I have my stance, which a large minority agree with, though I concede most would agree with you. It's a majority but not overwhelming consensus.

Large minority would be overstating it. History has already shown it's stance. The minority will simply be wrong.

H2H, well people can argue what they want. Historical resume however is cast in stone. It will be interesting where he ends up in 5-10 years time.

No, actually it wouldn't. I concede that a majority would agree, but its not at all overwhelming. It's about 2 to 1, in all fairness.

2 to 1 would be no-where near the mark. The minority would be mostly made up of Usyk nuthuggers, modernists and casuals.

At ay rate the cruiserweight win over Gassiev will never go down as a heavyweight win and his cruiserweight resume won't be tacked onto his heavyweight resume. Not outside of fantasies and wishful thinking, anyway.

    No, I did a poll. About 2 to 1.

I am being very fair with you here and conceding that most see it like you. But its about 2 to 1.

I just chased your thread up.......it was in general for heavens sake lol

I wouldn't wipe my ass with most of their opinions. I checked the names and the no votes had far more quality posters in there.

In general, Lewis, when it comes to heavyweights, is Lewis. Usyk is excellent, but I'm not sure he would have beaten AJ and Fury a few years ago. In my opinion, he didn't face the best versions of either of them, and those fights were very close.
I'm not counting the cruiserweight fights.
Usyk doesn't have the impressive, dominant wins that Rahman 2, Botha, Grant, and Ruddock have, which are Lennox's best wins. I also think he looked more impressive in Holyfield 1.
I like Usyk, but we can't look at him through the prism of the prestige of the victory, but rather through how he actually looked in the ring. To me, he looked great, but Lewis even better

Usyk would never get one punched KO'd by Hasim Rahman and Oliver McCall

Worldwide far fewer people would care. A good win is a good win.
