Let's rate Wilder's resume

The fact he takes a good beating has made Wilder sympathetic to some, but realistically he was one of the worst belt milkers in the history of the sport. He gets an F for opposition selection.

 

I'd be intrigued to see a breakdown of those who actually give Wilder credit.

Something tells me it would entirely be North American Boxing fans.....And in fairness, that would represent that the WBC did what it set out to achieve. That's all Wilder was, a guy manufactured to try and retain American interest in what has been a sport losing interest in that market for a decent chunk of time now.

But this Era of Heavyweights has been dominated by Europeans. The fact Deontay Wilder stayed at home and has avoided all these relevant European contenders says everything.

Not one (legitimate) unification fight tells you everything you need to know. He avoided every challenge because that belt couldn't leave the American market. Even though the entire division has been based in Europe since the dominance of the Klitschkos.

 

Solid C. Anytime he stepped up he lost, but he was consistent in pummeling cabbies.

 

Born and raised in America. Wilder is the definition of MID. Dominated all the bums and journeymen and lost everytime he stepped up.

He either windmilled too much or too little XD

 

Wilder is not HOF not ATG lol. Even his "power" was a mirage.

I said he was an ATG manufactured champion, meaning he is one of the most manufactured champions of all times.

 

I was just echoing that and taking it one step further. If power only happens against bums its not real.
