Instead of losing by decision GGG manages to beat Canelo in their rematch and he decides to move up to 168 fighting the same list of opponents that Canelo had faced during his run when he was undisputed at 168. How well does he do against them and would he have been able to become undisputed as well? And does Crawford also take the titles away from him as well?
In an alternate timeline where GGG was in Canelo’s place I would think he would have no interest in a third fight with Canelo but would probably be forced into it. Crawford I think would definitely have beaten GGG given that he’s already in his 40s.
I presumed we're talking prime GGG at 168 at the time Canelo thought there. I'd still have Crawford beating GGG though
He would be aging so he’d obviously do worse than Canelo. Probably loses in a mild upset to one or two of them.
Besides Crawford who else would have had a chance to upset GGG at 168? Only other guy I think might have posed somewhat of a challenge would be Plant but even then I see him getting stopped.
Ancient Golovkin who had nearly his whole career at 160, and who was smallish for 160 to begin with? I don't expect him to do any better than Canelo.
Plant, BJS, Charlo, and Munguia (considering how old he’d be for the last two). GGG barely beat Jacobs in his prime.
Possibly, but chances are thr train would come off the tracks way before matching Canelo, nevermind having to beat Kovalev.
