Sorry to butt in, but I think Vitali's resume is greatly underrated. The defeats look terrible, but let's remember that they were quite unlucky, and Vitali fought very well in them, well on his way to victory. He didn't lose to just anyone either. Many people consider the first fight with Frazier to be Ali's best fight, or one of his best. He lost, but he fought like a true champion. Look at the little-known fights with Donald or Bean. They were strong test fighters, but they were practically nonexistent against Klitschko. Holyfield didn't show he was in a different league against them, while Vit did. Look at what he did against someone like Kirk Johnson or Orlin Norris. These are fighters of the caliber of Rahman and McCall, or not much worse; they were nonexistent against Klitschko. Does the style of victory not matter? Gomez, Arreola, Peter, Solis, Adamek were not outstanding heavyweights but they had recognized class and they were totally dominated, which means that Klitschko was not just someone, but someone who surpassed strong rivals in a way that only someone truly exceptional could do.

Those arent world title wins.. You cant have 2 people racking up title wins at the same time and taking it seriously like nah Is Oilver McCall better than Evander Holyfield cause he never got knocked down.. The quality of the wins matters here: Lewis. An admittedly past his best Lewis was getting beaten up and was down on the cards against a late-replacement Vitali and won on a cut ; Holyfield was way past his best (more than a lot of fans admit) and Lewis at most won their rematch by a round, razor thin ; Tua was a very dominant win ; Mercer was a gift decision ; Ruddock and Rahman 2 were dominant knockout wins ; Bruno was winning every round and outjabbing Lewis until he (Bruno) gassed out like he always did. Usyk. Joshua was reigning champ in first fight and gave a career best performance in the second fight and in both fights Usyk dominantly outboxed them ; Fury was undefeated reigning champ in first fight and still game in second fight and in both Usyk dominantly outboxed him and nearly had him KO'd in the first; dominanted and knocked out Dubois both times ; clearly won against Chisora, not as good as Fury did but better than Parker, Whyte, Wilder, Pulev etc. I'd give Usyk the edge resume-wise because a lot of the fighters were closer to their primes, but the resumes are close. In terms of performances tho Usyk is a lot more dominant.
You could also make the claim that beating a Fury who arguably lost to an MMA debutant in his prior fight isn't especially impressive.
