Who are some fighters that usually don't get mentioned enough when it comes to hand speed? Pretty much any fighters that people keep forgetting actually having some fast hands in their prime?

Larry Holmes and James Toney had some really fast hands when they were younger. Their hands were a blur whenever they let their hand fly.

Nice mention of Larry, a lot of people talk about his jab and IQ but his lighting fast hands often get overlooked. I don't know if it counts but Mike Tyson probably had top 5 handspeed in the Heavyweight Divison, most focus on his power and defense but his hand speed in combination with his short reach made his punches look like a machine gun.

Young Foreman. Watch the combos he landed on Frazier.

Haye, Dokes and Sanders should be the convo for fastest hands ever at heavyweight. Usually it’s Ali, Tyson, and Patterson.

I feel like people don’t really talk about how fast Oscar was.

Haye and Sanders didn’t throw the 5-6 punch lightning combos like Ali and Tyson did. Not with that kind of consistency

Kid Gavilan and Emile Griffith certainly had some fast hands but somehow their speed aren’t ever mentioned.

Maybe Bob Foster. I rarely see him getting mentioned.

Good mention. Linares was a very talented offensive fighter with great speed and threw some awesome combos. His jaw and durability really let him down sadly.

    Most of them, really.
Many years ago I used to spar with a guy that was a solid top 10 guy in his weight class for several years; he ultimately lost in a world title bid. When he fought on network television, nobody ever said he had fast hands but, when he was throwing them at you...
A decade ago, I worked with a world rated fighter who ultimately fought for a world title and lost in the attempt. Nobody ever talked about his fast hands but he was fast enough.
