He has the slim hope that Gassiev would chin Itauma and end the hype thats why. In reality Itauma would likely destroy him because he's levels better than Wallin, the same guy who a 50 yr old gassed Chisora folded. Moses taking a few learning fights before he fights actual contenders isn't as big of an issue as it's being made out to be
Lol, no. Moses beats up journeymen and old guys. Shot Whyte and Franklin were basically heavy bags and the kid still was breathing hard early. Hrgovic is the fight to make.
Logic makes no sense. You are complaining that Usyk is not fighting the best, but you answer is not for him to fight #1 Gassiev, #1 Kabeyal, or unify with Wardely, but fight Itauma. Itauama is not part of this sweepstakes. He has not done what he need to do to make himself so.
I'm not claiming Usyk should fight Itauma. I'd be happy if he fought anyone with a pulse, but if the choice was between Rico and Itauma it's a no brainier. I don't think Itauma should fight Gassiev or Sanchez either, because they're both meaningless fights. Winner of Wardley/Dubios would be preferable, or someone on the sturdy side like Parker, Zhang, Joyce or Hrgovic. Whether or not you or me agree though, Itauma is clearly part of the sweepstakes, especially if a promoter or Turki decide to stump up enough cash to entice Usyk to take the fight. It's also funny that you think Itauma "has not done what he need to do to make himself so" but Rico somehow has. It's inconsistent.
I still thin k Usyk wants no part of Itauna/and he AND bIVOL WILL N OT BE THE SAME AFTER BACK SURGEREIES
The point of the thread is that Usyk is supposedly avoiding Itauma, and my counter position--the correct position--is that Itauma has not done what he needs to to be in that lottery.
I don't think anybody claimed Rico has earned a fight with Usyk. But if we accusing Usyk of ducking somebody, it should be Wardley (before that Parker) and Kabayel, who are the most worthy contenders, not Itauma, who didn't even beat a Top 15 HW yet.
It's because that poster said Itauma has to "earn the right" to fight Usyk when that clearly doesn't matter as long as there's enough money involved. I fully agree that Itauma hasn't earned a shot at Usyk above his mandatories, but he's not fighting them nor appears to be interested in doing so, so why not Itauma who would at least be an interesting opponent?
Usyk isn't avoiding Itauma because Itauma hasn't fought anyone good just yet. The most decent opponent Itauma has beaten is Franklin followed by the ghost of Whyte and Mckean. None of those wins are enough to warrant a shot at Usyk. Usyk needs to fight Kabayel or Wardley.
Except that it does if your claim is that Itauma has to earn the right to face Usyk. If Rico is fighting Usyk without earning it, that criteria or barrier ceases to exist for Itauma. See my response to Macca on that one. It's also rather telling you keep avoiding the question regarding Rico.
No, it's two separate issues. The thread title is that Usyk is avoiding Itauma. Itauma has literarily not earned a place to where he needs to be avoided. Nothing to do with Rico.
Rico has literally not earned a fight at Usyk. Usyk has proven that your criteria is non-existent if you pay him enough, and has set the bar low enough that this thread can exist. So again, why is Usyk fighting non-boxers instead of literally anyone else?
But it has nothing to do with Itauma. If someone is being ripped off, It's Kabayel or Wardley. Itauma has nothing to do with it. You are conflating two things that have nothing to do with each other.
