True. It's quite sad how unprofessional he is. He's clearly talented but has even less discipline than Fury
Cue the X-files music. Well, allow me to explain, Parker needed to stay active and also earn some decent money in the process. so, he decided to fight Wardley in a decently big fight in the UK, which he thought he would handle easily, as Wardley had just been battered for 9 rounds by Huni and Parker likes a line during the week...so it makes perfect sense.
"Not made a decision yet" translates into legally challenges are being made which is preventing any final decision. As per usual with the big boys, they are able to long off the governing bodies with their legal teams and avoid receiving a public sanction.
Legal process takes a long time full stop, especially if you're innocent and have to go down the appeals route. It doesn't really benefit them to drag this out if they're guilty because he can't box until it's overturned anyway.
I mean, realistically, he is serving some sort of ban here, whether it is official, or whether it is like you say due to legal action. So I am not outraged by it. He's losing time and money. I hope he gets it wrapped up and comes back soon. The division is pretty hot and it can use him.
Not a great match up stylistically for Parker coming out of a stretch of inactivity tbh. I'd rather see him in with Hrgovic as a tune up first.
Fantasy scenerio: Turkyi realizes no one like the Rico fight for Usyk. AJ needs a tune-up. Parker is cleared tomorrow. Turkyi asked Rico if he will fight Joshua on the card for the same money, and both parties accept. Gives Parker a call, since all other big-name heavies either just fought, or are booked, and asks if he will step in on short notice against Usyk. Parker, realizing time is not on his side and he's probably squeezed out of a Wardley rematch, accepts. Suddenly, the Pyramids is a decent card.
I read some stuff a while ago he was involved in moving serious **** with a gang then he gets that ban idk what he's thinking there in his profession, if anyone you don't expect it's a chill dude like him, seems genuinely a nice guy but you just never know what someone is up to.
None of it is really substantiated though, or it'd be all over NZ media. So i'd take that with a bag of salt.
