Fury looked good, probably not good enough to beat someone like Kabayel, Dubois, Itauma or Wardley though. Obviously not Usyk, either.

Still back in the top 5 contenders imo

Fury got what he needed, an excellent choice of comeback opponent as Mak was so durable, and gave Fury the full 12.

Makhmudov did as well as he could have done and took some heavy shots so credit to him, never had Fury in any danger but an honest performance.

We certainly didn't learn anything that we didn't know before tonight. Fury and Benn flattered by the opposition.
Benn gets beaten by the top 5 in his division, Fury only has the AJ fight left, I think AJ outworks him.
Netflix must love spunking up money.

I wouldn't put Franklin as anywhere near a gatekeeper either - he's durable, but that's basically it.

He's not got the kind of wins to his name that suggest he's anything beyond journeyman.

Vianello stopped him on cuts and Kabayel stopped him with body shots. Makhmudov has a very good chin.

All things considered this was a decent performance from Fury. After over a year of inactivity he still looked quick, maintained a good pace, took some good shots, and looked fairly sharp. He didn't perform aswell as Kabayel and Vianello did against what I'd argue for were better versions of Makhmudov, but at his age and inactivity it was still a solid performance.

He had a punching bag in front of him for most of fight. Looking good would be busting up the punching bag and not shadow boxing against it. Yes he beast Makhmudov when he should have stopped him.

Still impressed with the sheer volume of punches Fury can throw for such a big man. Plus he always has exceptional punch variety. He’s easier to hit these days and the Russian was a walking heavy bag so not best opponent but Fury is not an easy out for anyone. Very unique type of fighter.
