Who even actually cares about this fight anymore apart from Turki and Hearn? It's about 10 years too late.
Using amateurs from 15+ years ago as the alleged reason for ducking isn't particularly convincing. The fight probably will happen next as they're each other's biggest payday by far, but I can't say AJ particularly filled me with confidence tonight when interviewed.
Other way around. Fury's ducked him his whole career. Seems like Fury thinks AJ is a bad match up for him.
All he had to say was "I don't know when I'll be back in the ring next, I'm still reeling from the tragic incident I was involved with a few months ago," or, if Fury has been the bottleneck to getting a fight made "are you ready to sign this time or is this just more games?"
Turki is used to his slaves doing as he says.....maybe AJ didnt fancy playing the game!! Make it look like ur not interested....another 10 million onto the purse coming up...lol Both of them are washed up and useless.....dont deserve the "mega fight" mantle it will get. Pair of bums being paid obscene money....just crazy
It was a bit sad seeing him unable to even form a sentence on a Netflix show in front of tens of millions.
December 13th 2015: “I’d fight Tyson Fury now but it would be a hard fight. When I’m ready, I’ll make it an easy fight. But I’d fight Dillian again. He might give me a few more rounds. That’s what I need.” - Anthony Joshua https://www.boxingforum24.com/threa...ucking-of-fury-in-bombshell-interview.694541/
I did find it ironic that AJ was trying to spout that crap when the guy who bankrolls the Heavyweight division is standing right there.
https://www.skysports.com/boxing/ne...thony-joshua-fight-is-off-its-officially-over Seriously, I can't believe there are still Fury stans trying to push the idea that AJ was ducking him when it clearly was Tyson the entire time. This is the same guy that ducked Price. Ducked Ustinov. Ducked a Wlad rematch. Tried ducking a 3rd fight with Wilder. Ducked Usyk for 2 years and tried to scare him off by only offering 30% only to have Usyk call his bluff. The pattern is clear, fellas.
You would have to have an IQ even lower than AJ's to believe AJ hasn't dodged Fury and that it's Fury who did the lion's share of ducking. AJ wouldn't give 50/50 on Fury's comeback, that's why the fight didn't happen then, and it's a fact as Hearn was open about it at the time. This is why the Wilder fight happened because AJ didn't want Fury and then likely messed up the Wilder fight too, which is why Fury stepped in there and he and Wilder fought. After the Usyk losses, AJ was offered the title fight by Fury but he wanted to control it and messed that up too. The obviously reality was they wanted to 'rebuild' first and we saw what happened with that path. These were the two times that both fighters were more or less young and when the fight was still meaningful. It's not believable Fury didn't want to fight AJ after Fury was on top and AJ had lost to Usyk. Everything was in Fury's favour. And that's of course why AJ didn't want it then. AJ had a good chance to win on Fury's comeback but was too greedy.
"Ducked a third fight against Wilder"? Lmao he already KO'd him the last time after a controversial draw. Did we really need a third?
Ducked Ustinov? An account from 2025 is fired up about Fury not fighting goddamn Ustinov? LOL This is yet another sad alt in a long line of sad alts. Posters come on here, can't handle people proving them wrong, then retreat to the anonymity of an alt account. Weak, sad, passive. Reminds me of how Joshua looked when called out tonight.
Dudes scared of Fury because he wants to see how he performs against a body first after being almost killed in a crash that makes Spences look mild, before taking a fight that will undoubtedly be one of the most meaningful and signature fights of his career. AJ haters are hilarious.
