Today's top heavyweights look like excellent tough man competitors, the drop in ability over the years has been staggering.

Usyk, of course, is the one exception. He is a good fighter. Not great, but good.

Having just watched that back he may have alluded that he might fight Fury and that he's always wanted the fight, but at no point did he clearly or directly accept the challenge. Just a bunch of weird crap like "you don't tell me what to do because I'm your landlord" etc.

Surely a "you're on. Just give me time to have a tune up like you did and we'll sign" would have been more than enough compared to whatever the hell we just witnessed. All it achieved is making AJ look bad.

 

Usyk cleaned out a stacked Cruiserweight division too.

 

I’m sure butterbean had a comeback fight recently or I just had a really good dream.

 

I thought last week was the nadir of significant Heavyweight boxing. Tonight proved me wrong. Makhmudov is completely inept. No way he should be in the top 30. And, Fury appeared to be his fattest yet. There is just no way a 3rd fight with Usyk can even be justified if this fat **** can't be bothered to get in shape for a professional prize fight.

Mak aggressive, fury goes southpaw why? This horrible **** of a referee mark bates is in charge. Mak aggressive, Bates warns mak but no warning for head locking mak by Fury

Furys eye is already bruised. **** off mark Bates Jesus. Mak with a lot of success coming forward nailing fury. Bates only has eyes for Makhmidov. Fury looks like a shell orchid former self.

Fury much better this round but still looks like he's much slower than he usually is. Was in his feet boxing negating Mak most of the round. Mak looks a little confused here and he's looking at the clock, obviously didn't like the body shots

This matchmaker can go to hell. Netflix needs someone to veto fights like this. This was essentially a high budget showcase fight on a massive stage. The **** were they thinking? Answer they weren't. Netflix should be embarrassed and so should the announce crew, speaking of which...

This announce crew is also ****ing awful, it's like we have a golden age of awful announcers and they are everywhere

 

Yeah I don’t want to see usyk fight anyone he’s already beaten it’s pointless, whenever I think about there second fight I just imagine the scene at the ‘not a party, party’ with Dubois sat in a corner not making eye contact with anyone while they all dance around him to northern soul absolutely twisting it out while he’s sat there wearing a tiny party hat that his dad strapped to his bonce.

 

This might be the dumbest post I've ever read on this forum.

This was not a fight between top heavyweights. It was an old man who has been out of the ring for SIXTEEN MONTHS having a sparring session with a prospect level guy who has never beaten anyone w/ even the hint of a name about them while already getting stopped twice. Only a halfwit mouth breather who DKSAB would think this fight was evidence of what top level HW fighting is currently.

And Usyk is one of the best fighters in the history of the sport. If you can't see that you need to take up watching competitive basket weaving instead, because this boxing stuff is too advanced for you.

 

That's also Usyk's best win. Can't have it both ways.
