Ali returns from exile and the calling out Frazier begins. But.. negotiations collapse (Money, politics, broadcast issues) take your pick. Ali keeps on fighting as he did after FOTC, still saying he's the people's champion. Frazier defends against guys that he handles easily enough.. until he signs to meet Foreman ( a little earlier in the timeline) How's the rest play out?
It would have been terrible for the sport…Having 2 Heavyweight Champions is never a good thing…and there was too much money to turn down …both of these men needed this fight …and both of these men called their own shots …it was always going to happen
That's not always the case tho, look at Lennox and Bowe, Fury and AJ. I know there's more belts around now, unfortunately, but it's not unbelievable to think a fight isn't made when it's Ideal. I'm not saying they wouldn't fight in this scenario but just not before Joe meet's Foreman.
I don't see any point any way it wouldn't happen. Their heads were too far up their asses not too unfortunatly. Joe helped Ali with his license because people recognized Ali as the champion and then they fought. This is just the one what if I just can't see as it is too unrealistic.
Frazier saves his energy for Foreman, and stops him late. Ali beats everyone else. They meet in the 75 timeline.
