Sanchez showed better adaptability in fights IMO. Sanchez fought aggressive fighters like Gomez, Nelson, Lopez. Quick handed fighters with good movement Castillo. Freakishly tall fighter at the weightclass Ford. Awkward fighters like Cowdell. He adapted to all these different styles and found a way to win even when he was in a bit of hole early on being behind on points. Lomachenko on the other hand has made some glaring tactical errors in his close fights. Now don't get me wrong I like Lomachenko and he has a very eye pleasing style. And in regards to the eye test Lomachenko may look more skillful. But in a tough close competitive fight against a dangerous opponent my money would be on Sanchez pulling it off more times than Lomachenko.
Lomachenko “looks” more skilled but the difference in opposition and the fighters that he’s lost to as opposed to the fighters that Sanchez has fought and beaten shows. Loma is no doubt the more athletically talented fighter of the two but personally he never showed the same kind of adaptability that Sanchez had IMO. Sanchez always found a way to win while Loma seem to find a way to lose even when he should have had the fight won.
Lomachenko fans will swear on their mother that everytime he has looked **** or done some stupid decision/move, it was actually him just "downloading" information
Thatb18-3 was against all top guys way above weight. And if you watched any boxing you could argue Loma never lost. Haney especially a huge robbery. Loma was natural a bantamweight who beat guys like Haneybwho were natural welters. Lol. Now Sanchez was all time and sad he died so young. I couldn’t pick. They are two greats.
