Derek Chisora set to face Otto Wallin in February

It's not mental gymnastics, there's a very real narrative that Fury, Wilder, and others have ducked Joshua for some inexplicable reason. There's an insane marketing effort behind Joshua that has seeped into the mind of the common fan, causing him to be massively overrated. If my posts expose that, and that upsets you, there's nothing I can do for you.

 

The overwhelming evidence points to him not being a top 10 guy though. In addition to the poor resume he was very underwhelming against Joshua and old Chisora

 

Don't try to reason with them. They're only interested in promoting their favorite fighter, not logic.

The Joshua fans would prefer that you just drop it.

Gassiev is ranked #1 by both WBA and top ten by Ring Magazine. This is not a debate.

 

There's nothing to suggest Gassiev is top 10 or even close. Id maybe rate him in the 16 to 25 range

Again, Gassiev is now universally ranked, so Markus' contention that Wallin could not beat a ranked guy is OBJECTIVELY Incorrect.

 

It's very strange how you can get a top 10 HW ranking when your HW record basically consists of losing to 41 year old Chisora victim Wallin and beating a 44 year old Pulev.

 

But he is ranked by both the alphabet organization, and Ring Magazine, which is what everyone cites on here when they don't want to recognize the alphabet organization.

Let us repeat, Markus was OBJECTIVELY incorrect. It is not a debate. He might as well have said the earth is flat. You can say, "how strange that the earth is round and no one falls off it," but it just doesn't matter.

 

It will be very interesting to see what the great cruiserweight Murat Gassiev goes on to accomplish as a top heavyweight contender.
