No they ain't but I doubt he expected the guy bank rolling stuff to be like a big spolit kid trying to get his way the way he did Again AJ is rich enough to not care about Turki and his bankrolling
An unfortunate mix of being both incredibly dumb and suffering severely from Joshua Derangement Syndrome.
Should definitely be adopting 'The Landlord' as his new nickname. Looking forward to Buffer announcing it.
Retire when he has options of great pay days? I mean if a few people told you that you were not longer the best at your job but yet other people keep putting your wages up, would you quit?
Who's gonna pay him if he pissed off Turki? And what exactly are his options? He's over playing his hand.
To be honest I thought Fury and Turki got punked pretty hard by Joshua not dancing to their tune. Made Fury look like the B side chasing Joshua. Plus Fury was rattled when Joshua said Fury worked for him. They clearly planned to ambush him and ended up looking pretty silly.
So Turki Joshua Hearn all sitting alongside each other at the Fury fight, what they talking about ? Turki hinting on earlier in the night he had an announcement to make after the Fury fight,it certainly was not an announcement just a challenge from Fury. Is Hearn playing the long game for better negotiations ? Had Turki been deceived ? Had Turki dropped it on Joshua and tried to corner him ? I can certainly see why Hearn and Joshua did not commit, they don’t want to look like they jump to Turki’s drum and everybody knows that Joshua needs a bit of time and probably a couple of warm up fights before accepting the Fury fight .
AJ needs a tuneup. And in the meantime, Fury should take another tuneup -- how about Guido? Big guys who can hit are the obvious tuneups for prep for AJ. Unsure who works as a tuneup for AJ to help with prep for Fury, though. Fury is a bit of a one-off. Maybe take away Okolie's power and he'd work?
Why the **** should he retire given his current earning potential ? Would you retire if you could earn the kind of money AJ can earn, regardless of who his next opponent is ?
The game has long changed since then. Again, his relevance is fading especially with his recent record.
If we're being honest he doesn't really need the money to begin with. But even if he does want it, his last three fights are Ngannou, a KO loss to Dubios he hasn't avenged and Jake Paul. If he's taking these sorts of fights at this stage of his career that earning potential is drifting away.
AJs problem is that if he drags this out the fight becomes even less viable. One tune up is fine, but more than that is just taking the ****.
