Sugar Hill is an awful, one trick-pony trainer

I also think Sugar is wildly overrated as a coach, but to be fair, Tyson has always sucked against Southpaws. Otto Wallin was stuffing him into the corner repeatedly. Otto fuggin' Wallin. So it was absolutely no surprise to me in the 1st fight with Usyk that right off the bat in Round 1 Usyk was stuffing him in the corner and lighting him up. Had Fury so nervous he had to showboat to slow the action down and give himself time to think. Then he got repeatedly worked into the corners all night. Usyk had him crossing his feet up, overextending on shots so badly he'd end up in a switched stance, and completely worked over from Round 8 on.

As said above, he's just a bad fit for Fury. Fury is only good when he's light on his feet, dancing around, slapping his jab, and bamboozling his way to a win. That come forward, lean on your opponent, Kronk nonsense was only ever going to work with Wilder because Wilder is a mope and can't even handle the basic fundamentals of boxing. Hell, dude would literally bend over and present his neck to Fury over and over so Fury could put him in a headlock and not let him breathe all bent over. And Fury still had all sorts of fits with Wilder. Hits Wilder behind the ear in Round 3 of the rematch, Wilder is completely done at that point, and yet it takes Fury four more rounds to get Breland to throw in the towel. The third fight was even worse. Wilder had absolutely zero in the tank after Round 5. Dead on his feet, no defense, no offense, nothing. Fury was so poor though and constantly smothering his own punches that it lasts until the 11th.

They just ain't right for each other. And it seems like Sugar doesn't understand who he's supposed to be coaching up. You can literally hear on the broadcast in the Usyk rematch Sugar screaming at Fury to go forward. Like, pull the video up on YouTube and you can hear him from about Round 7 onwards just screaming FORWARD! to Fury during the rounds. And Fury is doing nothing but backing up. Like, brother, Fury is a fat **** who is desperately trying to conserve his energy so Usyk doesn't detonate on him like in the 1st fight. He's barely hanging in there and you're screaming at him to go forward? He ain't Lennox Lewis.

Of course, a lot of this just circles back around to Fury not being the boxing genius he's been portrayed as for so long. He's a decent boxer, not great. It's his physical attributes that have gotten him where he is. And a lot of ducking serious competition, of course. If he wasn't taller, heavier, and with a much longer reach than everyone else his career would have gone exactly like his idiot father's. He's also dead set on never taking the sport seriously except when he once in a blue moon fights a legit guy. How are you supposed to train up a guy like that? Dude coasts on his mouth and his size. He doesn't have that Usyk mentality where he's psychotically dedicated to being the best. Basically every fight camp for Fury is just a fat camp so he can lose the crazy amount of weight he's packed on in between contests.

Maybe he had betted huge on Fury wins by KO.

Sugar just turns up for the clout and the copious yayo that is constantly around Tyson, might be an element of truth in what John ard road Fury claimed.
