Exactly, boxing is such a short window where they have to make enough to support the next 50 plus years in retirement, unless they have a back-up plan, or a grilling machine.

Benn is slowly building a fleet now – Rolls, Ferrari, Porsche, probably a few others as well, along with all the bling.

It’s one thing buying the toys, it’s another maintaining that lifestyle once the $15 million purses stop.

He’ll need to gross £50 million plus to sustain what he’s building, and he’s likely only got 2–3 years left at this level, or until he gets beat.

Nigel was much the same though, until his wife took over managing the money, but even then he had to carry on 3–5 fights beyond what was healthy, especially after McClellan, to secure his future.

Just imagine where Conor would be now if he never got his licence back. Look at Dennis McCann, almost vanished, and Benn had already made more than most by the time he popped.

Exactly mate. I know it’s easier said than done as I don’t have the money, but if I did I’m literally having one nice car (a Range Rover or something), a nice house in England and a nice holiday home in Spain/Portugal.

What a hilarious interview, he's trying to be diplomatic but his delivery is just so blunt . "I just don't think he's that good" "I don't even think he's British level" "I just don't think he's good at boxing" "Since he got off the steroids" You might be able to accuse Josh of a few things, but you can't accuse him of sitting on the fence

The low key delivery on "since he got off the steroids" is absolutely top class.

Better than getting floored by Cedric Peynaud. Benn couldn’t lace Campbell’s boots.

Also re: the woman beating thing, didn’t his dad get done for it?

Put “got floored by Cedric Peynaud” (and beaten tbh) into the same folder as Chisora v Kabayel. Simply didn’t happen.

Taylor’s not exactly saying anything most people haven’t already been thinking, but the “maybe he should go for an area title / British title eliminator” line is brutal and not far from the truth.

Would’ve loved to have seen them actually box, because Josh during fight week, especially cutting weight, would have absolutely ripped into Benn, and who knows, that might have been the start of something.

Although it would still be good to see the Garcia fight actually happen, but are Zuffa really going to take that type of risk after the weekend’s performance? Maybe Brook instead, or maybe even Amir.

Good to see the amount of grief he's getting.

I see more than one boxer outright talking about Benn and steroids, not just suggesting it or accusing in passing, "no power since he came off them" etc. The lack of challenge back from Benn suggests it's either an open secret or people aren't scared of saying it.

It's great that they are speaking out. But isn't it odd that they remained silent for years, but now hes changed promoter they have suddenly found their voices!

It’s hilarious how many active and retired British boxers are openly criticising Benn, you don’t really see such a pile on to this extent. In recent weeks Dave Allen, Josh Taylor and now Luke Campbell have all just slated him with zero regard to the fact he is a countryman. He truly is despised outside of his stable and close friends in boxing.
