For me the issue is these guys have such a relaxed fight schedule compared to years past it's harder to keep interest

    Now:
    Jushua: 33 fights
    Usyk: 24 fights
    Fury: 38 fights

    Then:

    Larry Holmes: 75 fights
Tyson: 58 fights (not including Jake Paul)
    Wlad: 69 fights
    Holyfield: 57 fights
    Ali: 61 fights
    Lennox: 44 fights

It's the hope that there will be at least one banger per card that's entertaining. That does usually happen. I like Pro Box TV and do get legit excited for maybe ~6 fights a year now.

I've met multiple world champions. Worked with them as well as many other professionals and coaches. That to me is more exciting than watching them fight. For the love of the sport lies true happiness. From being driven to the next town and given 400 dollars for a motel for the night to hanging out and playing golf with some legends makes me appreciate everything I've experienced in my life. That's where I get my excitement in boxing.

From withholding my ppv Money that they demand for every second irrelevant show. Great choice not to pay for wilder chisora.

But really: the besf fights currently are surprises on undercards. of course wardley dubois is a good fight, but generally in hindsight the most exciting fights are undercard fights

Only a problem if you exclusively watch plodding fat heavyweights. The middle and lower divisions have some awesome fighters and match ups at the moment.

Some people are fans of the sport of boxing and some are fans of a specific fighter(s).

Fans of the sport probably have an easier time maintaining that feeling of excitement cause boxing is still there.

Fans of specific fighters will either leave when that fighter's time in the sport ends, or they might become a fan of someone new.

Fans of fighters are probably more common and maybe you're in that category?

Its boring and dull for the most part, because too many fans are happy to peddle the line about 'sweet science', to justify stinky fighters like Stevenson and Fury boring us to death on UD fencing matches. I want to see two men get in there to put the hurt on each other, like the old school man.

The talent and ability is still there, but my issue is that too much of the business and politics of the sport is pushed upon the fans. The discussions regarding their abilities and attributes are replaced with debates about who's worth more of the purse, contract disputes, venue locations, etc.......

To me, that takes me away from enjoying the sport as much, because I don't get to discuss the things I love about the sport as much.
