Tyson Fury re-enters The Ring's latest ratings at heavyweight

Fury has lost twice to Usyk, same as Dubois. But Dubois has a recent world title win over one of Fury's rivals in Joshua. That is significant. Beating Makhmudov is not.

 

Fury only has two losses to Usyk by decision and had far better performances against Usyk in both fights. Dubios lost to Usyk by KO/quit twice, and also has an additional loss to Joyce on his record. As for world title wins, Fury has already won every belt in the sport and beat two long reigning champions to do so.

If Dubios wins the title next month, then I'd consider putting him above Fury as a title holder. But he's clearly the inferior fighter of the two.

 

At this point i wouldn't bet against dubois in a fight vs fury. Look at makhmudovs success against him and furys slow feet and weak power.

I would bet against fury taking a dubois fight though. Wardley with his one punch attacks are more furys preferred style of opponent

 

I'd actually like to see Dubois vs Fury as well. Fury vs AJ so they both can finally shut the **** up but yea him vs dubois is interesting

 

Mahkmudov had limited success in the first two rounds and lost the rest of them. Dubios would get his face jabbed off.

 

Dubois was still very green when he fought Joe Joyce for the British title. A green Fury has a controversial win over McDermott also for the British title. At a certain point history is less important to the here and now.

Fury is fairly inactive, so maybe instead of say the last few years, it is fair just to looks at their last 5 fights:

I think if Dubois loses to Wardley, then of course I would drop him below Fury. We will just have to agree to disagree on this one, though

 

Fair. I hope Dubios gets pasted to the canvas because I don't want Usyk Dubios 3 even considered

 

100% Agree. The statement seemed a bit bias. He leveled enough uppercuts to make it appear makhmudov had brain damage coming. Winning almost every round. Transferring that into some empirical data that he's shot to bit's is just over reaching. No one is looking like prime time during a tune up fight after a massive lay off. But if you got an bias it's won't impress anyone...period regardless, you make a point & assume it's a fact because you got an agenda based on emotion.

 

I'm picking all those guys to beat this version of Fury. AJ is competive as he's equally if not more washed lol.

 

It isn't bias, there is just no way a 37 year old like Fury, who doesn't train properly and has a biological age of 50, is going to get any better tune up or not.

 

We'll see.

 

Makhmudov had multiple good shots to the head in the early rounds and also touched the body enough. He got tired soon. Fury didn't look great.

Dubois is used to 12 rounds and has a good jab himself. He would be able to put fury under a whole different pressure. Fury needs his feet to make his jab count over extended periods. I doubt he can use them like he did earlier in his career. He will be a stationary target after a while and dubois will be younger, stronger and more consistent because of stamina and success

 

Dubios also crumbles under pressure eg Usyk and struggled against Joyce. He's not that good overall.

Everything Dubios offers, Fury's persevered against better.

 

Dubois and Wardley would destroy this version of Fury. His chin wouldn't hold up.

 

Fury is getting to the point where he can probably lose to anyone with a punch on any given night.
There was a time when he was actually very hard to tag clean. Though in his 'tune up' fights he would still get hit (Abel) so it's also a bit hard to determine how much he's slipped.
But it was always his defence and movement that kept him out of trouble, not his power, so it wouldn't be surprising to see someone clean him up soon if he gets back on the circuit.
The bodybuilder fight I think is more dangerous than ever. His defence has declined more than the bodybuilder's punch.
Back when bodybuilder and Hearn ducked the fight I think Fury had a very good chance of not only winning but getting a KO. That's of course why the fight was ducked.
Now Fury looks vulnerable.
