Jimmy Young was a tough fighter, but the dude was even flabby with gyno at that weight.

Fury would definitely cause problems he's bigger than Foreman and Foreman in that era wasn't used to fighting someone bigger than him.

Foreman also did struggle against boxers and Fury is a big man who at his best can box well so that's another problem for Foreman.

But Foreman is a good body puncher so he could hit Fury's big torso. Also Fury has been decked 8 times in his career and plenty of lesser fighters have found Fury quite hittable.

Wilder is tall but he weighed similar to Foreman and he had Fury on the deck 4 times. And I think Foreman is more dangerous because he has KO power in either hand and is more creative with his offence.

I wouldn't like to say in all honestly.

I could see Fury winning a decision after a few scary moments.

But Foreman could also stop Fury aswell who isn't the most consistent fighter.

 

Fury vs Usyk 2 was actually really close on my card, and yes I knew Usyk had pulled away, but it was very competitive.

Usyk was able to beat Fury due to his elite ring IQ and his footwork certainly helped him as well. Sure he wasn’t on the backfoot, but he wasn’t walking forward with cement feet in the same patterns, he was feinting with hands and feet, alway carried his feet with him when attacking, didn’t waste punches, didn’t throw blindly etc, he set traps, he’d get something out of Fury and then capitalise.

Even then it was a really competitive fight, and Foreman is nowhere near as skilled as Usyk in this regard, sure he’s a devastating puncher, but he doesn’t have the tools to be able to land as cleanly or as frequently as Usyk, and he also weighs a similar amount as Usyk.

It's all fine and dandy to say Foreman chins him in 2 rounds. I mean, that's flat out the dumbest thing I've heard in my life, but whatever. It ain't no thought out argument, though.

I despise Fury, but at least I know enough about boxing and am objective enough to recognize his talents. The man is huge. He has an insane reach. He's literally NEVER BEEN KNOCKED OUT despite being in the ring with some seriously big time punchers. But Foreman does him in two rounds, huh? Did your mother feed you lead paint chips as a child?

 

First, I was responding to Mickc who said he thought no one in the current era of HWs would beat prime Foreman. Last I checked, Tyson Fury doesn't make up the entirety of this HW era.

Secondly, the **** does it matter how Fury's bout with Ngnannou went? He very clearly and obviously did zero training for that fight. It was an exhibition with nothing on the line. He was also nowhere near his own prime. Are we going to say Muhammad Ali wasn't **** because he lost to 7 win Spinks when he already was dealing with the onset of Parkinsons? Plus, Ngannou is a long standing MMA champion who is 275 pounds of solid muscle and at one point had registered the highest punch force of anyone alive. He also showed solid boxing skills in the ring that night. Much better than Makhmudov did this past Saturday. So pretending he was some ultra cupcake because he didn't having a boxing record is disingenuous.

I'd pick Usyk for sure to beat Foreman on points.

He's all wrong for Foreman a tricky elusive Southpaw who's highly durable with a great engine.

I know people will laugh at this but Wardley who's a big puncher and bigger than Foreman would also be dangerous aswell. Is Lyle really any better than Wardley in regards to the eye test ? And he had Foreman almost out of there. And I don't think Lyle hits as hard as Wardley in regards to 1 punch power, not to mention Wardley has a good chin aswell and is bigger than Lyle was.

And whilst it's too early to say Itauma could possibly be a nightmare for Foreman aswell H2H. 240+ pound quick handed hard hitting Southpaw Foreman has never seen anything like that before.
