    In the past fury did.

I don't see pressure from fury anymore. He didn't even significantly pressure makhmudov. I don't expect him to against dubois. Fury at this point has no power, only surprises. Maybe the uppercut, which will not be enough against dubois and he will not be able to land it often.
He could outbox dubois over 12 rounds like he did against klitschko, but he doesnt have the legs anymore.

Fury is on the way down. Maybe he is fourth or fifth in h2h right now at best, but he won't ever get any higher anymore.

Kabayel takes his punches and walks him down and punishes him. Usyk has showed how that works out. Dubois is too strong, can take all fury gives and move forward over 12 rounds. He will not crumble with fury fleeing from him. Usyk is a whole different thing than fury for dubois.

At this point fury's gameplan has to be to survive the early rounds and then start to control the fight, which will be very hard against the top fighters. With his vanishing legs all the more.

That's what surprised me most about the fight on Saturday. Fury looked slower, less sharp, and all that, sure. But what was really troubling was his desire to clinch up. Makhmudov obviously spent the majority of the time charging Fury and trying to clinch, which Fury usually just accepted, though he did try to work on the inside and turn Mak around and whatnot. However, there's a lot of points in the fight where Fury is initiating the clinch to get a breather. Instead of pushing the pace and punishing this guy to try and get him out of there Fury was looking to tie up and take breaks.

His legs are definitely going and his stamina ain't what it used to be. You could see it in the rematch with Usyk. He started well in that fight, won his only round free and clear in the 5th, and then his work rate fell off a cliff for the rest of the fight. That was him conserving his energy so he could make it the full 12. He tried rallying in the 9th and 10th, but couldn't sustain it. And then he was looking to tie up and lean on Usyk for those last few rounds. Poor Sugar is screaming at him to go forward and he just couldn't do it.

Just don't see him being able to hold out versus a concerted attack over twelve rounds against someone who actually knows what they're doing, unlike Makhmudov.

Number 3 is outrageous for Fury TBH.

He hasn't beaten a ranked top 10 contender for 4 years.

And whilst Fury did well against Usyk which is to be commended.

I don't think he should be ranked top 3 based on 2 losses to Usyk even if he did quite well in both fights.

You surely have to have atleast some recent credible wins to be ranked that high ?

So where would you rank him? Dubois lost to Usyk in a way worse fashion than Fury. Hrgović beat his last Top 10 opponent in 2022 and lost to Dubois in the meanwhile. Itauma never even beaten a Top 15 guy. Bakole is 1-1-1 in his last 3 fights, even tho he beat Top 10 rated Anderson in 2024. Efe Ajagba never beaten a Top 10 guy. Neither did Torrez and Gassiev.

A loss is a loss whether Dubois lost worse to Usyk or not they both lost twice to Usyk in the end.

Dubois atleast has wins over Miller, Hrgovic, Joshua, in recent years.

2 of those fighters were ranked in the top 10.

Kabayel is 27-0 and whilst his record isn't outstanding but based on recent form he should be above Fury.

I'd rate Dubois and Kabayel both above Fury quite honestly until Fury actually beats someone in the top 10 which he hasn't done since 2022.

I'd also rate Parker above Fury aswell.

I would rate Fury somewhere near 6-10 I reckon.

Fury is already rated below Kabayel and Wardley, which is 100% spot on. So the discussion is about whether he should be rated above Dubois or not. Parker is probably serving a silent ban for cocaine use.

Then yes Dubois definitely above Fury.

I don't see how you can be top 3 going 1-2 in your last 3 fights.

No win over a top 10 Heavyweight in 4 years.

Whilst getting a controversial decision against an MMA fighter in-between.

I don't think the manner in which you lose to Usyk matters that much if you haven't got no resume to speak of in regards to wins in the last few years.

Fair enough. All the debate will be settled on 09/05, as if Dubois wins, he should clearly be above Fury, and if he loses, he should clearly be below him.

If he loses to Wardley then yeah he definitely drops below Fury.

2 KO losses in a row would look bad.

I'm actually picking Wardley over Dubois I think in a fight between two big punchers the more durable one aka Wardley should be favoured.

But maybe I'm overrating Wardley a tad we'll see.

Nah you don't need ranked wins, you just need a name and a good resume from 5 years ago ;-)

I favor dubois on the basis that he has better technique and can at least take a few of wardleys best punches.
When talking about wardley everyone speaks about his strengths, but if dubois gets him to go backwards, controlling him with a good jab, wardley will be in trouble. Noone expects him to win a boxing match, so if dubois doesn't go down too often, he should win. And I can even imagine him koing wardley.

My caveat is, that wardley showed extraordinary growth between the huni and Parker fight. all of a sudden wardley had good head movement when pinned against the ropes.

So if that skill trajectory continues, wardley is really dangerous. The ko against parker wasn't correct and without stopping parker he would have lost. But if he is still much better than that next time, he might even be better than kabayel

I personally think Dubois will run through Wardley like he did with AJ.

I can defo see why its a 50-50 fight but I favour Dubois as well.

Wardley is a tad untested, and hasn't faced a big puncher, on top of being a slow starter - and that plays in Dubois's hands well. Also, I think Dubois is a better jabber and a touch better offensively, but if Wardley hurts Dubois then I think its game over.

That's putting a lot of weight on a tune up fight though, which is the point I'm making: His objective was purely to get rounds in against a big, strong opponent which he did near perfectly without really getting hurt despite taking a couple of shots early on.

Dubios is strong yes, but to suggest he can take all that Fury gives when he's been stopped 3 times from jabs in his career is a bit of a stretch. There's no guarantee he gets past Wardley yet. Fury is skilled enough to give Usyk issues, he's not gonna fall apart from bloody Dubios.

In any case I don't see that fight happening any time soon, we have to wait and see what AJs next move is and if Fury simply takes a stay busy fight until the end of the year.
