    70s prime Foreman? Nope.

90s Foreman? I can see it.

1990s Foreman was arguably a better boxer; more patient, relaxed, showed more depth to his game. Used strategy more.

1970s Foreman was a better fighter.

He was a wiser boxer but he would often be outboxed by lesser fighters than Tyson Fury.

Briggs, Morrison, Schultz to name. Foreman in the 90s was too limited at that point.

Foreman was stopped by a guy who was nearly stopped by Henry Cooper(hurt much worse than Fury was against Cunningham) Many modern SMW-LHW would absolutely dwarf Cooper.

Ali was just "a guy:" who was "nearly stopped" by Henry Cooper? LOL

Yeah. That's guy who was dropped on his ass by tiny Cooper but still managed to stop Foreman.

Foreman could NEVER deal with cerebral technical boxers, like Ali and Young, and later with Holyfield. Even Morrison, when he went into defensive mode, outboxed Foreman. Hard to see how Foreman could ever beat Fury who is even more defensive-minded and awkward than guys like Ali and Holyfield. One sided decision for Fury.

Ali out-weighed Cooper by 20 lbs. Fury out-weighed Cunningham by 44 lbs

At least. Cooper with clothes on was barely at the LHW limit. He wasn't a real HW. Cunningham is much bigger than Cooper was.

Cooper had a 67 percent KO ratio and was noted as having power in his left hook hence the nickname "Enry's Ammer"

Cunningham was not a noted puncher only having a 43 percent stoppage ratio. Not to mention only having a grand total of 1 stoppage at Heavyweight in 8 outings.

So regardless of whether or not Cunningham weighed more than Cooper he was never noted for his power at Cruiserweight or Heavyweight.

The rope a dope working is just as much of indictment on Foreman as it is Ali being great, like the solution to the the rope a dope is literally "stop punching you ****ing idiot".

Fury's resume is going to age like milk. He should've been stopped against Usyk, was dropped by a featherfisted cruiserweight, should've lost to John McDermott at English level and got dropped heavily and nearly lost a razor-thin decision to a cage fighter who had never boxed pro before. He has brought the sport into disrepute on more occasions than I can remember, and would never have lasted in the era of killers. Wlad would've beaten him if he weren't on the decline, too.

Oh, and he also took 3 years out of his prime to sit in the pub and snort coke. The idea that he beats Foreman, who absolutely walked through Frazier twice, is laughable. Another completely overrated British HW who has benefited enormously from the promotional landscape of the last decade.

I think so as well but it’s a very very risky fight for him for the reasons already mentioned in this thread. George is much more versatile than Wilder and an aging Wlad, and Fury despite his great defense is a big target, though I think the same people making these claims are also overlooking how well Fury recovered whenever he actually got hit by either guy. George at his peak never dealt with such a disadvantage in height and weight aside from that dude from Superman 2, and the Fury from Chisora 2-Wlad was in another league of speed and skill to that guy and any other super heavyweight Foreman faced.

It’d be a lot wiser for Fury to come in light than to come in and try to bully George like he did Wilder. Not saying that he shouldn’t use his size in the clinch but he doesn’t need to sacrifice his speed and go up to 275 if he couldn’t bully Usyk either. Fury might not be especially powerful compared to others his own size but when he sits on his punches he at the very least has more pop than Ali given his size alone.

So yeah to sum it up; 250-260 pound Fury wins, 270+ pound Kronk Fury loses by KO.

Hard to say, I could see the fights going both ways.
