His best performance in my opinion. AJ can bang. No, he can BANG. But Usyk didn't have enough power to 'shell him up' and since Ruiz and even Wlad, he seems to do just that when he tastes proper power. Big AJ fan but think Bruno is more singular in his belief and he'd believe he'd stop AJ...

Not entirely on board with Bruno,s lack of heart, for me he lacked stamina, he lacked any fluidity, and he was very robotic, but he was quite brave in my eyes, as far as I can remember he put up spriteded resistance until the better boxer took him into deep waters, I have spoke to him a few times, and I think he would be crestfallen if he thought the publick had him as a quitter, which having no heart is basically the equivalent, so yea thats my take, but respect yours, that's what makes the forum go round.

At some point early doors Bruno will land a big right hand.. The whole scenario that plays out depends how AJ takes it.

Yes, well, ermmm, Insomnia mate, plus I got up at 4am from 15 to 65 so my body clock is programmed, normal week would be go to bed 11-30pm, wake up around 1-45, go downstairs for a tea and biscuit, go back up to bed, wake up around 3-30, go downstairs for another round of tea and biscuits ( Viennese ) since you asked, back up to bed until 6ish, then read a history or boxing mag/book till 8ish, then back downstairs for porridge, and then see which of my kids, wants me to look after their kids, next night rinse and repeat.

AJ does well against big stiff guys like Bruno.

 

This has come up a couple of times over the years, and I think what gets overlooked is that Joshua would have a significant size advantage over Bruno.

Bruno was considered a "big" heavyweight, particularly in his later years, but Joshua has a bigger frame.

I suppose you could look at the Dubois fight as an example of how Joshua could be vulnerable to (eg) the Bruno who fought Lewis. But again, Dubois has size on Bruno as well.

Joshua's flaws are obvious, but at his best he was a huge heavy-handed guy with good speed and movement, who could put punches together in combination. I think most likely scenario is that he establishes the jab with his better movement, and when he opens up he takes Bruno out in the middle rounds.

 

Whilst this is true to some extent.

What gives me some pause is the way Dubois beat Joshua.

Dubois came out aggressively with the jab and Joshua didn't really know what to do and then got clipped and was on bambi legs for the rest of the fight.

Bruno had flaws but he was very aggressive with the jab like Dubois was. And if he puts Joshua on the backfoot with the jab and then lands the big right hand it could be curtains.

Joshua is a bit more of a versatile boxer than Bruno and has better offence in regards to combination punching.

But I dunno I wouldn't really like to bet on this fight honestly both fighters have flaws that could be exploited.

 

I'm sure the old version of Wlad was still better than Bruno.

 

Yeah but Dubois is quicker and looser than Bruno.
I also think AJs mental state isn't the same since the Usyk fights.

 

Bruno's KO percentage is 95% which puts him above several of his rivals such as Lewis, Tyson, McCall, Bugner, Witherspoon and is the third highest on the list of highest KO percentages, the only people above him are fellow brit and friend Daniel Dubois and Deontay Wilder. Just putting that out there
