Who do you think Anthony Joshua should fight next in a tune-up?

Plenty of people in the business have claimed Dubois is the hardest hitter in the division. Mostly Brits, but still. I think Zhang might be the hardest hitter on just a pure punch basis, but he's so worthless after like three rounds that I don't think he should count. And you can say what you like about them running out of gas, Dubois stopped both Hrgovic and Miller who had never been stopped in their careers. The dude hits hard.

 

Lmao. Over a year and a half isn't enough time to have a rematch? It didn't stop him rematching Ruiz or Usyk right away, so what stopped him from either 1. an immediate rematch or 2. a tune up while Dubios had his next fight followed by the rematch? Dubios was definitely keen.

 

You sure seem to know all the ins and outs and back room deals that go on in boxing. Are you related to Frank Warren or Eddie Hearn? Got a lot of inside info? Because there are a million reasons why fights do or don't get made.

Also odd that you're I guess claiming AJ is a coward because he won't rematch Dubois who knocked him out, yet he was happy to rematch Ruiz, the last guy to knock him out. Seems like AJ has a pretty good track record of taking tough fights and getting back in the ring with guys after he loses. I mean, by your logic Parker is a coward for not getting back in the ring with Joyce after Mr. Moves Like Molasses splattered him.

 

Funny that a 41 year old Klitschko who was out of the ring for two years and coming off a loss didn't need a tune-up.

Joshua who went through a training camp 5 months ago and is 36 needs a tune-up.

Don't worry folks, EVERYONE is ducking Joshua. Nothing to see here. No one wants to fight the highly beatable cash cow who isn't even in the top 10.

 

You realize a LOT, if not most, boxer do not immediately rematch the guy who KO'd them. A rematch is not always feasible if the victor doesn't think he needs it. Nor will a good trainer push their guy into an immediate rematch.

Dubois was "keen"? He's getting a title shot instead. Did you make a fuss over Parker not rematching Joyce immediately? Why not try to force a rematch with Wardley before he went with Dubios? Now, my asking is NOT to say they were easy to make, but points more to the fact that a rematch doesn't always fall through just because the loser wants it. Why no Dillon Whyte rematch?

I get it, AJ whooped Parker and you hate him. And that's fine. Just be consistent.

 

He also got in to a serious car crash killing a couple of his friends. That takes a toll on your emotions and mental capacity. And if you aren't there mentally, you need to stray out of the ring.

Besides, are you even keeping up to date? AJ said he prefers Wilder (who he called THE tune up) THEN Fury. Are you going to ***** if he fights Wilder next?

 

Miller would be an awful choice. May as well fight a stationary punching bag.

Yeah, he rematched Ruiz right away. That was my point. So why couldn't he rematch a guy who clearly wanted it? As usual you duck the question, try to flick out petty/irrelevant reference to other fighters. You try and claim that other people have room temperature IQs, look in the damn mirror.

 

If Miller is a "live dog" against AJ, then AJ shouldn't be fighting at all. Then again, he did go six rounds with a Youtuber and hasn't beaten an actual boxer since Otto Wallin in 2023.

 

Parker didn't get a rematch because it was a one-way rematch clause in Joyces favour, and Joyce didn't want the fight as he was aiming for a path to a title shot with Fury. Parker has also been chasing rematches for years with AJ and Whyte. They simply aren't interested.

Care to actually answer the question? Because there's no reason AJ couldn't have rematched Dubios, even if he needed a tune up to do so. He rematched Ruiz and Usyk right away, so there's precedent. Dubios openly stated he'd happily fight AJ again.

Did AJ/Dubois have a rematch clause? No there wasn't. Dubois is now lined up for a title fight. That's clearly the priority. If you can't admit you really DO NOT have insider knowledge, asking these questions and expecting a factual answer is pretty silly.

If Aj does what he said, and that's focus on Wilder as his tune up then Fury, are you going to whine about it?
