Who do you think Anthony Joshua should fight next in a tune-up?

I’m pretty sure that Joshua knows that Dubois has the potential to deliver an even more devastating knock out and he is aware that he is there to be hit, but with Ruiz it was an anomaly, with Usyk there was nothing to lose the money was top drawer and he wanted to challenge himself against the best and his performance in the rematch was very impressive maybe his best performance of his career but he doesn’t get the credit for it.
But of all Joshua’s achievements in boxing the best and most important has to be the devastating knock out of Ngannou if it wasn’t for him doing that boxing would have been flooded with all those MMA prat’s

 

Be a troll — Makhmudov. Why? Fury went the distance. AJ would give Makhmudov the Ngannou treatment and blast him through the canvas within 2-3 rounds.

Dubois. Certain people want to think aj can beat him in a rematch because they couldn't comprehend someone who was seen as much worse than joshua destroying him. But in reality Dubois has his number. I want to see joshua get brutally KO'd again, it would be funny stuff

 

Yet after Joshua knocked Ngannou out he fought Fake Paul and had also tried to fight Rico,Rico incidentally is now fighting Usyk the Unified Undefeated former Undisputed Champion while all the mandatory’s sit and wait to see what Usyk does next ! If anything the Ngannou fights showed there is big money to be made for Boxers taking part in these cross over fights,even Usyk the main man himself is now partaking in them .

 

Dropping that far isn't a tune-up, it's a waste of time.

 

TBH it's more overdue than AJ-Fury... AJ Vs Wilder was due before Fury even came back.

 

I can agree with this. AJ v Fury should have happened a long time ago.

 

He wasn't KOd by Usyk. Losing a decision and losing by KO are two big different things mentally.

It's a fight that I think people would expect Joshua to win in a clear fashion, but possibly someone who would give him rounds and a big opponent

AJ is 36 and Fury is about to be 38, no more tuneups! Do their ridiculous 3 month camp and fight each other or go into big fights.

A tuneup is an 8-10 rounder on some undercard somewhere. These are big events with huge purses masquerading as tuneups so they can fool the public and fight lesser fighters. It's ridiculous. (I will say AJ was going to fight an 8 rounder against Chaney back in October I think on some undercard which would of fit the bill)

 

I have no tolerance for "tune ups" in an era when fighters only fight once a year.

The ONLY tune AJ mentioned was Wilder. And are some of you so irrational about AJ that you would hate to see Wilder v AJ? Some of you act like AJ pissed on your papaya...

 

I think what I'm most upset about is this grift of tuneups in 2026. It's interesting, I remember reading an interview with Archie Moore after a fight where he said he really needed a tuneup next time to be sharp (he was out of the ring for like 3 months). How times have changed!
