I think Moorer should take a decision. Quarry's right hand should keep him competitive but IMO Moorer hit harder and i think Quarry will struggle with the southpaw jab. Moorer close UD.
Moorer decision or on cuts, if he sticks behind that jab that is. There’s a real possibility he gets dragged into it with Quarry, which isn’t ideal, but he certainly all the tools to beat Quarry, who was quick and was a good counterpuncher, but relied on you going to him, he doesn’t know how to take someone’s jab away or get inside if they didn’t let him. He was square on and kept his hands close to his face, meaning you could control the lead hand battle, control the distance and land your jab easier and the back hand off of that, but if Moorer tries to fight Quarry, that presents him with those opportunities. I actually believe Moorer would try to fight Quarry, and maybe he gets rocked or he generally realises it’s not a good idea, then he settles into outjabbing him from a safe distance.
I like those accurate hands of MM in this to get the tko stoppage. And those nice straight jabs---I think they are as effective in this bout as they were in the first Holyfield fight. And I sure do not picture Quarry doing much at all when it comes to adjustments. And I think he'd have to make a ton of them against this opponent. Moorer won't be missing much and those nasty uppercuts he threw will land on this opponent. Bloodies and swells up Quarry who hangs in there but the ref waves this off the 2nd half of the fight.
