Probably Spinks by schooling Wilder is too 1 dimensional and is reduced to a little more than a punchers chance. 88 Tyson would also smash through Deontay, so I'm not going to hold that against Spinks here

Agreed Tyson was a scary monster then who came forward with an unmatched intensity. Wilder looking for his right would have been outboxed.

Spinks completely outboxes Wilder looking 10 classes above before falling asleep and getting caught and KO'd cold with a right hand.

Deontay Wilder lost to Joseph Parker and Zhilei Zhang.

Can we stop pretending he's some ATG?

There is no "Prime Wilder"....He's not a worse fighter than he was 5 years ago....He's just fighting a higher standard of opponent now and getting exposed. Parker and Zhang would've beaten him 5 years ago.

Exactly. Wilder was a fraud, from the get go. Fought stiffs for years to build an impressive-looingn KO record to fool the gullible. Predictably as soon as he started fighting decent fighters who weren't ancient, he got exposed.

Deontay Wilder is your mate that brags about going out every night of the week and shagging a different bird.....But turns out they're 2/10 fat birds.

An ATG is going out at weekends only and shagging a 9/10.

Wilder doesn't get more credit, for simply fighting MORE poor opponents, that's not how it works. Beating Duhaupas, Molina, Breazeale, Washinghton and Szpila doesn't somehow count more than a single victory over a Dubois, or a Povetkin, or a Parker/Zhang etc.

A tin can, is a tin can, no matter how many you fight.

Spinks wins with the awkward style he used against Holmes.

Spinks win perfect fight (like Morrison vs Foreman).

    Here's the thing.

The fighters who beat Wilder they had considerable weight advantage and they backed him up.

Spinks would be giving up considerable weight advantage and he would be at range from Wilder where Wilder is at his most dangerous.

A past it Holmes in their 2nd fight was able to land right hands against Spinks and almost had him out of there on a few occasions.

And whilst Holmes is far greater than Wilder he was past it by that point and he doesn't carry the same right hand power as Wilder.

As i said if you stay at distance from Wilder and don't back him up then he's dangerous because you're giving him time and space to land that right hand.

Would Spinks school Wilder for most of the rounds ? Probably. But I actually see Wilder landing the right hand at some point and stopping Spinks.

Wilder will be outboxed by Spinks just like Luis Ortiz did with him the problem is that right hand power (based that Wilder is on his prime), so I will say 50-50 or just 55-45 for Michael Spinks.
