Foreman (From Ali fight) vs Tyson (From Douglas fight)

You've got the horse before the cart. Foreman was just fine for the Ali fight. He did things in there that would have won the night against numerous other ATG's. Foreman was in miles better condition both physically and mentally than Tyson.

This version of Foreman takes out Tokyo Tyson in 5 or less.

Wrong. Tyson > Foreman unless it's post 2000s Tyson.

 

People always talk about Foreman's incredible power and physicality, but what about his durability and defensive capabilities? could he really cope with the speed, power and arguably greater skill of a more athletic opponent in Tyson?

Back to the original topic, Foreman genuinely commits a hate crime on Tokyo Tyson.

I used to favour Foreman heavily ... but I've come to realise that it's really much more of a 50-50 fight.

 

They both had excuses for devasting losses? Why, I never...

With that said I rhink Foreman took Ali more seriously than Tyson took Douglas and was in better shape.

 

Foreman easily. Main reason being that the "Zaire" George was the same awesome best who beat Frazier,Roman and Norton. It was simply that in Ali he got confronted by an unsolvable problem. Wheres in Tokyo,Tyson was out of shape and not motivated at all.

All versions of prime Foreman beat all version of prime Tyson, so I'm going with Big George here.

 

If Tyson were fighting Foreman, he wouldn’t show up in “Tokyo” form. Just look at the Ruddock fights.

 

Go watch Foreman’s later interviews. You might learn something. He admitted Ali was just the better man.

 

I know Ali was the better man. And I know Foreman changed his tune later on. Doesn't change the fact the story about being drugged was a shameful excuse when it came, not least because he accuses his trainer.
