From James J Corbett onwards,, who's the first guy that beats him? We're assuming that Tyson and the champ are both at their best.
Ps .. Tyson will fight the lineal champ in the same rule's,same gloves etc as when they won the title
Too many variables to make any clad iron predictions. But my generic guess is that he does pretty well against most of them
Louis or Liston could get it done, but I favor Tyson. I also favor Tyson over Ali and Holmes. I would guess Holyfield or Lewis.
I know people always say Liston, but I doubt it. I mean, he would have a chance. But I think the Holyfield of 1996 would be difficult for any version of Tyson.
I’ll go with 1966 Muhammad Ali beating 1988 Mike Tyson. Would be a great fight, however. Before that, I would give the best chance to Jack Dempsey. I do not necessarily think that Dempsey would be the best of the opponents, but I believe he has the right mindset and toughness. Prime Dempsey was a Tasmanian devil type beast in the ring and although he’s a bit small, I can see him fiercely fighting Tyson. That being said, if Iron Mike put Dempsey down and they were fighting in the rules of that era where Tyson could hit him again as soon as he stood up, Jack would be in a lot of trouble.
The lineals Tyson would beat would be in 3 main categorys A)Everyone prior to Dempsey B)Walcott, Marciano, Patterson C)Leon Spinks, Larry Holmes
