Which fighters from the 12 rounds era do you think would have a better legacy had they fought over 15 rounds? And which 15 round fighters would have a better legacy if they’d fought in the 12 rounds era?

Likewise, which fighters legacies would have notably suffered?

Albert Davila would probably have beaten Lupe Pintor if there fight was for 12 instead of 15. Ruben Castillo arguably would have beaten Sal Sanchez if their fight was a 12 instead of 15.

Hopkins would have likely beaten Taylor in their first fight.

Just to be clear, I’m not referring to the outcome of individual matches (although that’s a factor in evaluating this) but about a fighter and their overall legacy - whose would be better or worse if they had fought in a different era from their own e.g. someone like Oscar de la Hoya. Does his legacy get better or worse if he fought in the 15 round era?

15-rounds would have suited Froch better.

12-rounds did suit Hearns better, who obviously fought bouts scheduled for both.

Roberto beats Hagler convincingly if it was a 12 rd
Also 11-1s Leonard the first time around

This might be a bit of a conceptual leap.

Ward finished undefeated, but there would be no doubt about who won the first Kovalev fight if it were 15.

Winky also might've beaten some combo of Vasquez, Vargas, and Harry Simon.

Lara would've officially won against Williams and had a shot at reversing the verdicts of the Hurd and Canelo fights.

    In Oscar's case, probably would.
