Is Grant too high? Perhaps. But what would you change? Who is left off who should be there?

My posts about Wallin being better than AJ were tongue in cheek.

When Wallin had beaten final fight Breazeale and semi-inactive Gassiev, been swerved by post-Povetkin Whyte and only lost a 9-3 decision to Fury (albeit in an unusual fight where Fury, who had previously overlooked opponents, was badly compromised from round 3), there was a good case that Wallin may be on the fringes of the top 10. Time has since proven that he wasn't, and he may well not have even been top 15.

 

Semi-retired Ruiz, perhaps. Ortiz was officially close to 45 at that point, so Wallin may win that one too. Ajagba isn't convincing but I'm not at all confident Wallin beats him. Wilder was far past it by 2023, so Wallin could outbox him.

At best, Wallin was on the fringes of the top 15 in 2023. More likely he was top 20.
