It’s not just that, but even Regis said he could read Benn’s shots, that he became predictable, almost like the alphabet.

Compare that to the run against Vargas, Algieri and even Van Heerden, where he disguised the shot that hurt or finished them. That element just isn’t there now, and maybe his time with Sims has run its course, same routines, no real evolution, and it’s all starting to become a bit stagnant and stale now, especially without the boosters.

Maybe the 8oz gloves have an impact, we’ll see next time out, but at the top level fighters are starting to read Conor like a book.

That’s the difference between levels. Someone like Crawford adjusts mid-fight, like he did against Porter, same with Mayweather against Mosley. Benn doesn’t seem to have that layer to his game, especially since his return.

Also, I am sure Naz totally slammed Benn after one of the Collins fights, which is probably up on YouTube as I am sure he did it on the broadcast.

Naz is a piece of **** there’s no doubt about that, he’s entitled to his views, but he does stink of narcissism and onion rings which takes away any credence.

Naz is thik as f**** always has been.
Great fighter, but thats it. Talking isn't his strong point never has been.
That being said Ryan Rhodes was saying they were all living of Naz's highs with Sky being in the gym all the time so as with all things say enough and 1 or 2 bits are true.
The rest just seems to be a personal grudge

Feels a bit like man against boy, to be honest.

Naz has never really evolved past the persona that came with the fame and is fully enmeshed in it, whereas Johnny has clearly grown into someone who understands not just the sport but the bigger picture.

Silence is compliance on this stuff, and Nelson is right to call it out. Naz has pretty much been placated since he was a kid and is largely tolerated as a draw, he is what he is.

For all the noise around Naz over the years, Johnny is probably the real success story from the Ingle gym and carries Brendan’s legacy far better.

Nelson is as boring out of the ring as he was in it.

Honestly, Naz shouldn't be talking about Nelson. They're levels apart. It's like Michael Jordan ranting about some bench warmer or Messi ranting about a guy from the Barcelona reserves.

Naz should really apologise for how he treated Brendan.

But Dom and the family are very rich because of him, and the fighters in the stable had much better careers than they would have if he wasn't around.

Bench warmer? Come on, Naz was never Jordan or Messi, except in his own mind.

More like Gascoigne, Best, Rooney or even Beckham, massive talent, potential and profile, but with bigger flaws and ego.

And Johnny, with Area, British, European and an unbeaten world title run with 13 defences, is at least Gary Neville or Carragher in that comparison, definitely above someone like, say, Robbie Savage.

Ironically, both had 16 world title fights.

Fame and talent wise, it's like Ronaldo vs Luke Chadwick. Both premier league but levels.

I'm someone interested in boxing but I can't remember a single Nelson fight.

Good thing fame doesn't translate to historical standing otherwise the Kardashians would be running the world.

And if you're ever struggling to get to sleep, Nelson v De Leon is a good remedy and starting point on Johnny.

Edit: Having said that, Kim and Co couldn't do much worse than the current US administration.

Good post, agree with all of that. Very disappointing the way the fat disgrace is behaving in retirement. He didn’t even properly respect his Hall of Fame induction. Complete idiot.

Naz likely more interested in the Wall of Fame of his local eateries and delicatessens, but see even the Hall of Fame is sleeping on Johnny – considering it's over a decade since Naz was inducted, must be stuck on the De Leon fight too.

Is Hamed old, fat, and retired enough for Benn to select as his next opponent?

    Hydration clause included obviously

Hamed is evidence for the theory that famous people stop growing mentally when they become famous. In his case it was when he was about 19 and he's never got out of the arsey teenager stage.
