Do you buy the story that Carmen Basilio stood up to the mob and didn't take no dives?

The story is Basilio refused to kick back a percentage to Carbo and told his managers of they wanted to do so out of their end ,it was up to them.

Basilios management was definitely working with the mob. He didnt fight the mob at all.

 

Every time Basilio said no to the mob, Jersey Joe got another title shot.

 

Basilio was an IBC fighter. Excellent boxer but he was connected.
