If both are at their normal levels, isn't Dubios a lot better than Wardley?

Fury came close in the first Usyk fight by using more elements of his old style. I think if he had a different coach that supported his natural ability more, he'd have pulled it off.

But when the second Usyk fight came around, he clearly tried the Wilder 2 approach which fell flat.

    EDIT: Usyk added for context.

You think he was winning a points decision in America?
The first fight showed that risk couldn't be taken

Do you mean the 3rd fight in your last sentence?

I think Chisora's tactic was actually good he just didn't have the stamina down the stretch.

That's why you see a smaller aggressive fighter like Briedis have success against Usyk because he's in better condition and could fight hard for all 12 rounds.

I think the way to beat Usyk is an elite swarmer type like a Frazier or a Tyson.

Joshua wasn't aggressive enough vs Usyk even though he did ok in the rematch.

Fury's problem again is that he hasn't got the stamina down the stretch vs Usyk.

That's why alot of these bigger Heavyweights struggle vs Usyk. And that's why I think smaller but more skillful and better conditioned Heavyweights would do better vs Usyk.

It's not a coincidence that the fighter who landed the most punches on Usyk and gave Usyk his closest fight was a Cruiserweight.

Thread jump but ,Chisora did well against Usyk but imo that was still Usyk adapting from his move up from Cruiserweight as well as the biased commentary making things sound like Chisora was doing better than he actually was.We all know how skill full Usyk is with his ability to stand just out of range whilst still applying pressure to his opponents, were Usyk shines for me is in his ability to pull away from his opponents in the later rounds and close the show . Kabayel is the fight I’d like to see for Usyk,as I do think that he has the style and skill set to give Usyk problems that he has not seen yet as a pro,but will it be enough to get the victory should they fight !

What you're describing is a tactic that doesn't work for modern heavyweights (or any that are alive today). It was certainly foolish to think that plodding forward for a KO was going to work for Fury when he had the most success against Usyk by boxing him.

That's where you're wrong Kabayel exists he's an aggressive fighter with a high workrate and good body punching.

That's one of the reasons I want to see the fight but I have doubts it will happen.

I don't think Kabayel goes the distance against Usyk. It's one thing walking down slow fighters like Zhang and Mahkmudov, but Usyk is a different beast.

I'm not saying he necessarily beats Usyk.

I'm saying he has the style in regards to being an aggressive fighter with a high workrate.

When was the last time he went 12 rounds against an agile opponent though?

My whole point is that modern heavyweights don't seem to have the stamina required to keep that sorta pace up.

    Joshua is too muscle bound

Fury is fat with love handles.

Chisora is also hefty carrying way too much weight.

Kabayel atleast appears to have a high workrate and is an aggressive fighter.

Whether he could be effective against Usyk though is debatable.

But Kabayel hasn't really fought many people of note either, so that seems more like an assumption than anything else.

    It is an assumption yes.

But my point is on paper Kabayel is the Heavyweight with the style of being aggressive with a high workrate.

Stylistically apart from Itauma who's not fought any top 10 Heavyweights yet.

Kabayel for me is the most interesting stylistic match up for Usyk atm IMO.

In terms of wins, Dubois is slightly better, but otherwise it's almost a 50/50 for me.

Wardley gives me the impression of having a chin of steel, but really one of the strongest among the heavyweights, the thing that also gives me a better impression than Dubois is that he is better mentally for the high level as some have already said.

For Dubois he have the power that can change the fight and also he have a very good Ring IQ for the category, his accuracy is very good.

This is really the worst possible matchup for Wardley. He can still win but he’s not getting through this fight without taking the beating of a lifetime.
