Jeff Fenech new head trainer for Tim Tszyu

Anyone heard any reasons behind this? Not saying it is a terrible thing, but Tim needs stability above most things.

 

Look at his manager Mike Altamura, does he look trust worthy to you? Look at Ellis, does he look like someone you want to take instructions from? And look at the training Diaz had Tszyu doing. I criticised it in the aussie moxing thread Easter Monday. Look at Tim's body. He lost all his size and muscle.

 

What I see more than anything is that he still leaves himself wide open to counter punching.

 

Who does look trustworthy in boxing administration btw?

 

I know one thing. He'll do a better job coaching Tszyu than Glenn Rushton would.

 

He does. He was hittable. A better fighter would have made him pay.

 

Altamura and Ellis are ****ing amateurs.

 

Murtazaliev made him pay big time, and I can't see a lot of difference in his defense still.

 

Nor can I.

I’m not convinced Jeff is the answer here. I love the guy but he can barely string three words together these days.

 

True, Geoffrey French has never been a eloquent linguist. Can the French kid still train a boxer ?

 

Easy earn for Fenech, nothing much else. Tim probably has nobody by the sound of it. Boxing can be the loneliest sport at times.

 

I really like Tim and he seems to be a real nice person and he went pretty far in boxing.....much further then I thought he could.
He always gave everything he had and while he isn't his dad he did his last name proud.
I would like to see him hang it up before he gets hurt to the point its permanent.

 

It's pretty obvious to me that Tim wants to stay home, no more travelling to the US for training camps. Deep down that's probably the only reason. He also may have been seduced a bit by Fenech's personality. I don't think this will last long either.
