How does Bud handle the brilliant boxing IQ, guile, movement, defense, dirty tactics, and superb counterpunching of Hopkins, specifically the version at his absolute best? I think Crawford could have his hands full against the Executioner.

I honestly can't see Crawford winning. Bernard is a lot bigger. And in comparison to Canelo is a much more technical and deliberate fighter not to mention much less predictable. Hopkins fought Calzaghe well beyond his prime and put forth substantial resistance where you could argue that he won. If that was the Canelo that Crawford fought in Hopkins place. He's have gotten slapped into oblivion. Not to mention a lot of the guys Hopkins fought at light heavy were simply higher caliber opposition that anyone Crawford beat. I think Crawford vs Trindad would be a better match up.

I think Crawford can get a little underrated on the classic forum, he was a brilliant fighter, but the best version of the bigger Hopkins would dominate him at 160lbs and above.

Everything you listed behind Hopkins plus his natural size advantage would be by far the toughest hill for Bud to climb.

Hopkins UD somewhere around 116-112 115-113

Either Hopkins wins, or Bud is defeated.

Hopkins wins. No way he beat Calzaghe though.

Hopkins wins in a fight that not even their mothers would want to watch. Hopkins would stink the joint out beating another undersized technician.

Gotta go with B-Hop. Oscar and Tito both tried rising in weight to face him when they were prime. Didn’t end well…. Actually Oscar wasn’t really prime anymore but still

I think Crawford is a brilliant fighter but is getting massively overrated in the higher weight classes.

Crawford is a welterweight. That is his best weight class. Even at light middleweight, his resume is very thin.

I have seen people match him vs Marciano and argue he would beat Archie Moore. Come on. Dude has not even beaten a great middleweight.

He beat a past it Canelo who has a low work rate, hadn't stopped a quality opponent in years, who was avoiding his biggest challenges, and that is it. Its a good win.

I would not favour Crawford over any great middle, super middle or light heavy. He is simply unproven in this weight classes. Hell, he barely has a lot of wins at 154 lbs.

Crawford is an ATG at 147 and beyond 154 lbs, i don't see him as the favourite over any quality opponent.

If Hopkins ramped things up I could see a stoppage but he would most likely go the decision route

This would be both a fascinating and at times boring fight. But I think Hopkins would shut him down sufficiently to earn a clear decision.

Hopkins would do very well with anyone smaller.

You know Bernard gets alot of mileage off a win over Oscar which isn't that impressive considering Oscar got beat up by Strum and horrible decision saved Oscar.

Hopeful he also gets a lot of mileage off schooling Trinidad, Pavlik, Pascal and reigning the middleweight division since Christ was in diapers.
