    Time to move up.

Here are the fights he should take:

    - Warm up vs Yoka

    - Warm up vs Vianello

    - Fight Ajagba

    - fight a legit top 5 opponent

    - Fight for the heavyweight championship

Doesn't get enough love in Australia. He's our best fighter by a mile.

His lowkey personality might be hurting him there. Exciting boxer with good power and technical skills but hes and im gonna be brutally honest kinda of a boring guy from the outside looking in.

Bakole would chin him with ease

He can't make money at heavy because he can't position himself to. Shame he doesn't have a Usyk at cruise to compete with...not that he could compete with a Usyk level guy.

There are only very few fighters I'd rather watch fight against usyk. Not many heavies have any chance of bringing new challenges to usyk. At this point it is most interesting to see usyk face something new.

Kabayel would bring the most toughness and body attack pressure trying to walk him down like a tank.

Itauma would bring an unmatched offensive technical speed and power mix (hard to see him win, though).

Huni would bring a mix of speed and experience that would be fun to watch until usyk inevitably ko's him.

I don't see wardley doing much. Speed and power but lacks in technique and feet.

So who else. Opetaia is in the huni category with more grit

I like Jai and I want better for him but at times I think he knows what he is doing. He is small for heavy, and has already taken horrific punishment at cruiser. Maybe he knows heavy isn't for him, or, alternatively, he plans a very brief fun towards the end.

What he should do is give up on the idea of unified, which apparently ain't happening, and just fight the best he can get his hands one. Seems like Zurdo don't want him but you know Benevidez will take him. Just add the best names.

If he moves up I see him knocking out the biggest hype job from Britai since AJ known as Itauma

I think people should realise that if these characters thought they'd dominate HW they'd go there. There's not reason not to considering the difference in prize money. They don't because they've sparred HW's and felt the difference, especially SHW's.

He'll win some and lose some. And that's why he's not up there. He knows he can't be as successful.
If he was as good as someone like Povetkin, basically a cruiser himself, he'd have gone up.
But he isn't, clearly. Otherwise he'd be there as there is huge money to be made.
The reality is that probably even Parker could beat him.

Usyk is a different level and that's why he could go up and do what he's done. But also he himself wasn't so confident for a long time otherwise he'd have gone up there himself. I think it was calculated from him. He knew he was vastly more skilled than AJ/Wilder and knew that Fury wasn't a huge puncher and was a clean boxer. Why wasn't he up there when Wlad was dominating? Because he watched the Povetkin fight and saw Povetkin decked from a little half hook, then get wrestled to death by a 6'5 octopus. He probably wasn't even confident of beating prime Povetkin.

I am not sure of this.

Usyk knew he could build a hall of fame career at cruiser before moving up. I mean Usyk started pro boxing in 2014 and Wlad lost the title by 2016. I don't think Usyk started as a cruiser because he was unconfident vs Wlad. He likely knew that Wlad would be gone anyway by the time he earned a heavyweight title shot even if he started as a heavyweight.

I think Opetaia wanted to win undisputed at cruiser so he could get an automatic title shot at heavy.

Genuinely curious. How big is boxing in Australia? I know you guys are a big sport loving nation. You obviously have AFL as the biggest sport in 4 states, NRL as the biggest in the other two, cricket throughout, Rugby Union and Basketball.

How much attention does the average Aussie fan pay towards boxing?

It's hard to say. Whenever there's a big fight on pubs will be packed boxing or ufc. When the Tzyus fight the arena sells out Shawn porter and malinaggi come over to guest commentate and analyse. It's probably the same as USA or England.

Jai has been badly let down by promoters promising the world and delivering SFA. I do not believe we've had a better boxer since Kostya and it is horrible to see him choked by boxing politics.

His old school clobbering style would see him get into trouble at HW especially since HW is a lot more stacked than cruiserweight
