I personally prefer the rematch they both gave the last bit of their best that they had left.

I was very young when I watched these fights but I always thought Kelly Pavlik vs Jermain Taylor were very good fights and an underrated rivalry.

    They fought as amateurs.

Pavlik was the upcoming KO artist and Taylor was still trying to prove himself as a legit champion after the wins over Hopkins.

Their 1st fight is one of the better Middleweight championship fights of the last 50 years IMO.

Full of drama, knockdowns, and a great KO.

The 2nd fight wasn't quite the slugfest of the 1st meeting but it was still an exciting high paced technical fight.

This was one of my favorite build up shows for a fight. The story lines heading into this fight were great and then the fight delivered. Many refs would have stopped the fight in round 2 which is another what if in boxing

It is more nostaglia for me. Back in 1999 this was a big fight when I was a teenager at the time and I got bought Knockout Kings 99 on the Sony Playstation you could choose between the cover with Lennox Lewis or Evander Holyfield on the front naturally as a Brit I choose the former. The fights themselves depending on what you like were decent overall the first fight being a shut out for Lewis which I scored 9-3 and the rematch ironically could have been a draw I scored it 6-5 (1) to Lewis but can see it going 6-6 for both boxers.

For excitment I'd agree with @Jel with Leonard Vs Hearns and as I previously posted I prefer the rematch to the first fight.

    Cornelius Boza-Edwards vs. Bobby Chacon

    Pretty easy choice for me.

The first fight is probably the better fight from beginning to end, but I just love rewatching the rematch. The 8th round is one of my favorite rounds ever, with Saad being cut and tired and throwing everything but the kitchen sink at Pops.

I’ve long said that this is the most outrageous robbery ever.

It’s bad enough when a boxer wins about 75% of the rounds and doesn’t get the decision (Lewis-Holyfield 1, Everett-Escalera, etc….), but this is even more ridiculous as Coggi really should’ve been stopped on 3 separate instances in that round.
