Zuffa Boxing is some kind of joint venture between TKO and the Saudi groups. If it's doing OK and TKO can sustain it then maybe the Saudis aren't needed, and we don't get money-splurging like the Benn deal. It doesn't sound like AJ-Fury would be a Zuffa card anyway.

Worst case Zuffa ends up another PBC and nobody watches it even on Netflix.

The money splurging you talk about isn't always quite as it seems and the aim is to pay less than the norm in the long run from what I have seen of this project.

As I have alluded to before I'll be very surprised if its even a thing in 5 years.

It won't be a thing in a few months. I'd be very surprised if Paramount renew in the US when you look at the quality of the cards currently

It will be interesting to see if Garcia Benn is a zuffa card with the WBC. Its a serious set back for them if they don't sanction it like the IBF the other week. I think that's why turki has bought the ring magazine they have probably seen it coming

Paramount are paying the big bucks for the UFC, this is just a sweetener/bonus on top. As long as the Saudis are ploughing money into the project, the rights fees will be dead cheap, and Paramount will be happy.

That explains that then, wondered why things went quiet after he lit Dawson up.

Mitchell will always be his own biggest opponent, forever getting in his own way. Shame really, because the ability has always been there, and he could always shift tickets.

I agree but we have to acknowledge that Eddie Hearn is a skilled businessman. DAZN is paying a fortune to Matchroom Boxing and they are not delivering.

When will DAZN's owners start making demands on the quality of Matchroom's cards ?

Maybe, but I thought Eggington had retired when this was announced, he can’t have much left surely?
