Agreed, throw him on some undercard against some durable journeyman and shake the rust off. This will be a full event with all the pomp and circumstance under the guise of a tuneup
Sure, awful childish. Hey man, I don't care if AJ wins or loses another fight. I just love the sport. You act like he tossed your GF's salad in front of you while you were helpless to just watch. But those things (and worse) can be said about every popular boxer to have lived who had fans say dumb things. Do you even like any boxers, or boxing for that matter? Of just come to take smack on a boxer you don't know?
Yikes. You're revealing a lot about yourself with this post, "Lance". Let's keep this civil. If you can't handle criticism (many Joshua fans here cannot) of one of your favorite fighters, then don't read it.
Considering the crash and losing his two good friends, I don't mind him taking an easy tune up. Usually this kind of fight is a sign of a stacked undercard AND it means theres little chance of a banana skin before AJ vs Fury, so I'm happy.
Now you are just trying to save face. Revealing myself as what? You're criticism of AJ is not real criticism, in regards to boxing, it's fanboy hating. AT least own up to it. He's not one of my faves. Like I said, I don't care if he wins or loses. I just like entertaining fights. I'm as big a fan of Fury, Usyk, Itauma, or Joseph Parker. Just that Fury/WIlder/AJ discussions dominate the board. Maybe think about growing up dude. Gotta sometimes.
Oh come off it. He fought like 6 months ago and has been in the gym ever since his accident. Fury had a 16 month lay off after two consecutive losses. You don't see him picking out no-name guys
Exactly. Nothing wrong with someone similar to Franklin who gave him some rounds. It's a bit disappointing seeing how many fans automatically give him a pass, but it's not unexpected.
If me calling out fanboy nonsense upsets you, it's pretty clear why. If you think Joshua's boxing skills are adequately perceived by the general fan, I am afraid you don't know **** about boxing. There's plenty of room for discussion on this topic, and it's important that reason rooted in reality shines through.
I just think he could do this behind close doors it's such a poor opponent. They obviously scouted around for someone who can bang on paper to sell as a meaningful and to be fair if he Prenga has 20 legit stoppages he can probably hit a bit but if he AJ such an easy fight why not just bring someone into the gym and get the rounds that way.
Working out in the gym ain't a real fight. He almost lost his life and saw his best friends getting smashed. We don't know how much psychological and physical damage the accident caused. I don't think he even knows. That's why he wants to see if he still got it against some Pringle guy. Wants to see if he even wants to continue his journey without people who where always there for him. Also, PTSD is a real thing. It's better if it hits with Pringle bum against him, than Fury.
